Explanation of the conversion: In Champions terms Faith is a martial artist with slightly enhanced strength and speed. The two sets of statistics represent her with and without her powers. The Damage Reduction is based on her ability to roll with punches as to not take full damage, she doesn't get it if she is taken by surprise. The combat levels that kick in only the second time she fights someone are based on her ability to learn from a foe. When she faces a powerful foe a second time they don't seem to give her as much of a problem.

History: Little is known about Faith's early history, even her last name is unknown. She probably born in the 1980's and grew up in Boston. She was raised by her drunken mother, who is now deceased. She has mentioned used to go swimming at a rock quarry a couple miles outside of Boston, where she was the only one brave enough to dive off the highest rocks.

After Faith was called as the Slayer from the death of Kendra, Faith jumped right in and enjoyed her new powers. A woman was assigned as her Watcher. One time Faith was woken up during a heat wave and had to save a bus load of Baptists from three vampires while she was completely nude. The police showed up after the fight and arrested her. Another time she faced a vampire out of Missouri who kept large alligators as pets. She considered this vampire her hardest kill. Her first major defeat came as the hands of an ancient vampire named Kakistos, who captured her and her watcher. Although Faith escaped and managed to maim Kakistos, her watcher was tortured and killed, which freaked out the young Slayer (mentioned in Faith, Hope and Trick 3.03).

Faith Not knowing where to turn, and with Kakistos wanting revenge, Faith made her way to Sunnydale, where she knew she could find the other Vampire Slayer, Buffy Anne Summers. Once there Faith got a motel room and took up hunting vampires by hanging out at the Bronze and letting vampires ask her out, thinking they would make a meal of her. While she was being attacked by one outside the Bronze Buffy and friends tried to save her, but soon realized she didn't need any help. She introduced herself and immediately befriended Buffy's friends Alexander Harris, Willow Rosenberg and Daniel "Oz" Osborne, but Buffy and Cordelia Chase seemed to be a bit jealous of the attention she was getting. Faith and Buffy met up with watcher Rupert Giles and were assigned to patrol together in Sunset Ridge. Buffy also invited Faith to dinner. When out on patrol they were attacked by vampires claiming to work for Kakistos. Faith seemed to snap and attacked one vampire repeatedly with her fists, but not killing it, while Buffy was left to face the others by herself. They eventually faced Kakistos and defeated him together. Rupert contacted the Council of Watchers and it was decided that Faith would remain with him in Sunnydale until a new watcher could be found for her (Faith, Hope and Trick 3.03).

''Isn't it crazy how slayin' just always makes you hungry and horny?'' - Faith

When Oz worried that his werewolf self had escaped and killed a student, Faith was assigned to watch him during the full moon as his friends investigated the death (Beauty and the Beasts 3.04).

''All men are beasts, Buffy.'' - Faith

Faith & Scott After Buffy's boyfriend Scott Hope dumped her before the Homecoming dance, Buffy decided to attend with Faith. Faith took great pleasure in ruining Scott's evening when she saw him there with another woman. The vampire Mister Trick then set up Slayerfest '98, where several different hunters would compete to kill Buffy and Faith during the homecoming dance. Trick's people mistook Cordelia for Faith and Faith spent the time at the homecoming dance as Buffy and Cordelia fought for their lives (Homecoming 3.05).

''Come on. We'll find a couple studs, we'll use 'em and... discard 'em. That's always fun.'' - Faith

Buffy & Faith Faith's supposed new watcher, Gwendolyn Post, arrived in Sunnydale, and sent Faith on a mission to stop the demon Lagos from obtaining the glove of Myhnegon. Gwendolyn ended up betraying Faith and her friends, setting them against each other in an attempt to gain the power of the glove for herself. Buffy and Faith were able to defeat her (Revelations 3.07).

''Excuse me, Mary Poppins, but you don't seem to be listening.'' - Faith

Faith Having no place to go for Christmas, Faith accepted an invitation to stay with Buffy and Joyce for the holidays. Buffy left Faith to watch over her mother when she had to save Angel from the First Evil (Amends 3.10).

''Yeah. Well, 'tis the season. Whatever that means.'' - Faith

Rupert was fired by the Council of Watchers for interfering with a deadly test they put Buffy through. This left Faith without an official watcher (Helpless 3.12).

Faith & Xander After Xander saved Faith from an attack by one of the Sisterhood of Jhe, she thanked him by having sex with him in her motel room. She then helped the other members of the Scooby Gang stop the hellmouth from re-opening (The Zeppo 3.13).

''She got me really wound up. A fight like that and no kill I'm about ready to pop... You up for it?.. Just relax and take your pants off... Don't worry. I'll steer you around the curves.'' - Faith

Faith A new watcher named Wesley Wyndam-Pryce arrived in Sunnydale to take over for Rupert in watching Faith and Buffy. Wesley had the Slayers try to retrieve an amulet of the demon Balthazar, the supposedly dead founder of a vampire swordsman cult, the Eliminati. Buffy and Faith recovered the amulet from a crypt and Buffy gave it to Angel for safe keeping. The real trouble for Faith started when she and Buffy were planning an assault on the lair of the demon. While fighting his vampire guardians, Faith accidentally killed the Deputy mayor of Sunnydale, who happened to be walking by during the fight. She tried to hide the death, and got Buffy to help her. Balthazar captured Wesley and Rupert to try to get the amulet back, but Buffy, Faith and Angel rescued them and slayed the demon and his minions (Bad Girls 3.14).

''Want. Take. Have.'' - Faith

Faith After she couldn't hide it any more she tried to blame the death on Buffy. After a conflict with the Council of Watchers over the incident, Faith pretended to agree to their demands, but secretly went to evil mayor Wilkins and started to work for him. She informed the mayor of the gang's plans and helped cover for him (Consequences 3.15).

''If we're gonna party, let's get on with it. Otherwise, could you let me out of these things?'' - Faith

Faith For a while she played both sides of the fence until she was discovered trying to remove Angel's soul and get him to work for the mayor too. She went to work for the mayor full time (Enemies 3.17).

''Bondage looks good on you, B. The outfit's all wrong, but, hey!'' - Faith

Faith Faith was sent to kill Professor Lester Worth by the mayor because Lester had discovered the remains of a supposed dinosaur on a recent dig, and this dinosaur was actually the same type of demon the mayor planned to becoming during his ascension. To keep Buffy distracted Faith shot Angel with a poison arrow, for which the cure turned out to be the blood of a Slayer. Buffy intended to feed Faith to Angel, but Faith escaped wounded (Graduation Day Part 1 3.21).

''Well, look at you. All dressed up in big sister's clothes.'' - Faith

Faith Faith ended up in a coma from her fight with Buffy and the blood loss. The doctors didn't expect her to ever recover. In Buffy's dreams she was visited by a vision of Faith, who helped her defeat the mayor (Graduation Day Part 2 3.22).

''You want to know the deal? Human weakness, never goes away. Not even his.'' - Faith

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Haunted #2 Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Haunted #1 About two weeks after the destruction of Sunnydale High School the ghost of mayor Wilkins returned to get his revenge on Buffy. Buffy kept having bad dreams of Faith attacking her. Wilkins possessed the body of a bird, who noticed military troops moving into the U.C. Sunnydale campus. Once Wilkins found Buffy in the cemetery the ghost possessed the body of a newborn vampire and attacked her (Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Haunted #1).

Rupert and Xander were nearby and helped Buffy stake the possessed vampire, but Rupert was injured in the fight and was taken to Sunnydale General Hospital. The mayor then possessed a dead bird and followed Buffy. Willow, Xander and Oz went to look for a dead body which disappeared from the hospital and was found in the cemetery. As Buffy slept the next night she had another nightmare of Faith attacking her (Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Haunted #2).

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Haunted #4 Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Haunted #3 The mayor then possessed another newborn vampire. The Wilkins-vampire fed off a passer by, then attacked Willow, who escaped by casting a spell that turned herself into mist, but not before the mayor mentioned how he should should have bitten the librarian. The mayor then went to find Buffy, but was taken by the soldiers of the Initiative, including one named Adam (Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Haunted #3).

Willow then realized that something was possessing vampires, but didn't know what. Buffy had another nightmare of Faith. Professor Maggie Walsh ordered that the vampire be dissected. The mayor escaped the Initiative by leaving his vampire body and possessing a large dead demon called Hostile Six and injuring Adam. Buffy went to Faith's apartment to confront her nightmares only to find Hostile Six waiting for her. Willow and Xander arrived and Willow cast a spell casting out the spirit inhabiting Hostile Six, but they never learned it was Wilkins. In the Initiative, Walsh vowed that Adam would survive (Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Haunted #4).

Faith Faith eventually woke up from her coma in February of 2000, and proceeded to cause havoc in Sunnydale. She learned the mayor had been killed and their plans stopped by Buffy. A demon delivered a package to her containing a magical device the mayor wanted her to have and a message. The message said that if he died there would be no place in the world for Faith any more, but this device would take care of that. Faith took Buffy's mother Joyce hostage and when Buffy came to rescue her Faith used the device to switch bodies with Buffy. Faith then knocked out Buffy, inside Faith's body, and turned her in to the police (This Year's Girl 4.15).

''I mean, I knew it somehow. I kept having this dream, I'm not sure what it means, but in the dream the self-righteous blond chick stabs me, and you wanna know why?.. in my dream, she does it for a guy... I wake up to find the blond chick isn't even dating the guy she was so nuts about before. I mean, she's moved on to the first college beef stick she meets. Not only has she forgotten about the love of her life, but she's forgotten about the chick she nearly killed for him. So that's my dream. That and some stuff about cigars and a tunnel, but tell me, college girl, what does it mean?'' - Faith

Faith & Riley Although Buffy, trapped in Faith's body, was captured by police and later by the Council of Watchers, she managed to escape and regain her own body, but not before Faith had started to take over Buffy's life. Faith had even had sex with Buffy's boyfriend Riley Finn. Faith left Sunnydale (Who Are You 4.16).

''I mean, I could be rich. I could be famous. I could have anything. Anyone. Even you, Spike. I could ride you at a gallop until your legs buckled and your eyes rolled up. I've got muscles you've never even dreamed of. I could squeeze you until you pop like warm champagne and you'd beg me to hurt you just a little bit more, and you know why I don't? Because it's wrong.'' - Faith

Faith Faith arrived weeks later in Los Angeles where she was approached by Wolfram & Hart about killing a vampire who had become trouble for them. As it turned out that vampire was Buffy's old boyfriend Angel. Faith also learned Angel's employees were her old watcher Wesley and Buffy's high school friend, Cordelia. She captured and tortured them and forced Angel into a fight, but in the end it was discovered that Faith had a death wish and wanted Angel to finish her off. Angel didn't kill her and decided to try to help her (Five by Five 1.18).

''All these little cuts and bruises, just bring out the mother in me. Come on. Now, now. Don't poop out on me, dammit! Otherwise this is all just going to be over too fast! and you'll be dead and I'll be... bored. Come on, Wesley! Where's that stiff upper lip? Now we've only done one of the five basic torture groups. We've done blunt, but that still leaves sharp, cold, hot, and loud. Have a preference?'' - Faith

Faith & Angel After Angel took Faith into his care he attempted to rehabilitate her. They were assaulted from all sides by Faith's enemies, including the Council of Watchers, the police, Wolfram & Hart and even Buffy, who wanted revenge. In the end Faith turned herself in to the police and confessed to her crimes (The Sanctuary 1.19).

''You're all about control. You have no idea what it's like on the other side! Where nothing's in control, nothing makes sense! There is just pain and hate and nothing you do means anything.'' - Faith

Faith Faith was sentenced to prison and although she had some incidents with guards and other inmates, she is determined to keep from killing again and serve her time, with Angel occasionally visiting her (Judgement 2.01).

''The road to redemption is a rocky path... You think we might make it?'' - Faith

Over the months Faith asked Angel visit less often, but as she started to remember the dreams of the mayor she had while in a coma, she told him about them and warned him that Buffy might be in danger (Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Haunted #1-#3).

Buffy The Vampire Slayer #50 Angel and Cordelia then went to work under cover as drug dealers to uncover a supplier of the drug called soul drops in Los Angeles. They traced the drugs back to a demon named Steglar, and learned he got his supplies from Sunnydale. Cordelia then had a vision of Buffy in trouble. Angel decided he needed help rescuing Buffy, so he got Judge Marget Brown, who owed him a favor, to release Faith into his custody for 24 hours. The two then drove to Sunnydale (Buffy The Vampire Slayer #47).

Buffy The Vampire Slayer #49 When Faith and Angel arrived in Sunnydale they were able to track the demonic invasion in the town to the old Initiative caves beneath Lowell House. There they were confronted by the Scourge. The two managed to save Xander, Dawn Summers and vengeance demon Anya Jenkins from being sacrificed to make soul drops, but then the whole group was captured (Buffy The Vampire Slayer #49).

Buffy The Vampire Slayer #50 Angel, Faith, Xander, Dawn and Anya found themselves confronting the Scourge's new leader, Adam, who had become a living holographic computer program. Buffy and Pike were able to break into Adam's headquarters. Buffy shut down the vat making the soul drops and then the others were able to defeat the Scourge. Once Buffy learned Adam was using the gladiatorial fights to power the Initiative and his computers she was able to talk the demons in the ring in into not fighting each other and Adam lost power. Buffy and her friends then returned to Buffy's house where Xander took care filling in the Initiative caves. Angel told Buffy and Dawn he had a teenage son now. After Angel and Faith left Pike told the others the story of when he and Buffy went to Las Vegas (Buffy The Vampire Slayer #50).

When Angel Investigations attempted to discover secrets of a demon known as the Beast, they removed Angel's soul, hoping his soulless personality would remember something of the demon. Soulless Angel escaped and Wesley informed Faith. They her broke out of jail to track down Angel. Faith came into developed an intense rivalry with Angel's son Connor. She was successful in capturing Angel, but nearly at the cost of her own life.

With Angel recaptured, Angel Investigations called on Willow to restore his soul. Willow then took Faith back to Sunnydale with her.

Buffy & Faith Xander helped house the increasing number of potential Slayers coming to Sunnydale at his place. When Caleb, an agent of the First Evil, came to Sunnydale, Buffy commanded an ill-fated attack on his hideout at a vineyard. In the fight Caleb severely injured Xander's left eye, killed and injured several potential Slayers, and defeated Buffy and Faith with ease. Willow stayed with him at the hospital as he recovered, but he lost the use of the eye (Dirty Girls 7.18).

Faith Once Xander was released from the hospital he rejoined Buffy and the potential Slayers at her home in time for them to all vote her out of power and put Faith in charge of their group. Even Willow, Anya and Dawn sided against Buffy. Buffy left, at Dawn's request, because Dawn knew Buffy would never be able to follow their orders (Empty Places 7.19).

Faith In order to gain more information about the First Evil Faith used potential Slayer Kennedy as bait to capture one of it's Harbingers. Faith was visited by the First Evil in the form of the former mayor of Sunnydale. Faith also had a romantic liason with Robin Wood (Touched 7.20).

''I'm saying we think about getting us a Bringer and making it talk. Find out info on the first and Caleb that way.'' - Faith

Scoobies Buffy lead the potential Slayers and her friends in an attack on the Seal of Danzalthar. She gave Spike an amulet given to her by Angel as her Champion, then positioned Xander, Rupert, Dawn, Anya, Andrew and Robin to protect the exits and lead the potentials into the seal. Willow and Kennedy cast a spell that empowered all the potential Slayers with full Slayer strength. Faith fought bravely against the horde of Turok-Han vampires inside the seal, but was severely out-numbered. Anya was killed by a Harbinger of the First Evil. Spike's amulet activated and rays of pure light decimated the ranks of the Turok-Han. Buffy's team retreated as Spike stayed to finish the job, causing the collapse of the seal and destruction of the entire town of Sunnydale as well as his own death. The survivors in Buffy's group escaped in a school bus and made it out of town at the last moment (Chosen 7.22).

Trivia: On Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel the part of Faith is played by actress Eliza Dushku. In episodes where she swapped minds with Buffy she is played by actress Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Powers: Faith is the Slayer, and has the usual powers of one. She has enhanced strength, toughness and speed and a natural fighting ability augmented by her years of training in combat. She requires half the amount of sleep as a normal human.

Faith was once mentally linked to Buffy when they were both injured (Graduation Day Part 2 3.22)

While Faith inhabited Buffy's body she had similar powers, since both girls were Vampire Slayers (This Year's Girl 4.15 & Who Are You 4.16).

Faith was once mentally linked to Angel by a magical drug.
