Explanation of the conversion:
History: Wesley Wyndam-Pryce was trained from his childhood to become a member of the Watchers, an ancient order who watch after and train the Vampire Slayer. When Watcher Rupert Giles was fired from his position of being Watcher for Slayers Buffy Anne Summers and Faith, Wesley was sent to California to take over the position.
A new watcher named Wesley Wyndam-Pryce arrived in Sunnydale to take over for Rupert in watching Faith and Buffy. Wesley had the Slayers try to retrieve an amulet of the demon Balthazar, the supposedly dead founder of a vampire swordsman cult, the Eliminati. Buffy and Faith recovered the amulet from a crypt and Buffy gave it to Angel for safe keeping. The real trouble for Faith started when she and Buffy were planning an assault on the lair of the demon. While fighting his vampire guardians, Faith accidentally killed the Deputy mayor of Sunnydale, who happened to be walking by during the fight. She tried to hide the death, and got Buffy to help her. Balthazar captured Wesley and Rupert to try to get the amulet back, but Buffy, Faith and Angel rescued them and slayed the demon and his minions (Bad Girls 3.14).
''Buffy... I must ask you to remember that I am your Watcher. From now on, anything you have to say about slaying you will say to me. The only thing you need discuss with Mr. Giles is overdue book fees. Understood?'' - Wesley
When Welsey learned that Faith had accidentally killed a man and hidden the crime, he stole Faith from the good vampire Angel and attempted to return with her to England. She escaped him and secretly went to work for the mayor of Sunnydale (Consequences 3.15).
''By the order of the Watcher's Council of Britain... I am exercising my authority and removing you to England, where you will accept the judgment of the disciplinary committee. I'm sorry for the extreme measures. Unfortunately, this is a rather extreme circumstance.'' - Wesley
When a spell gone wrong summoned a vampire doppelganger of Buffy's friend Willow Rosenberg,
Wesley was able to save Cordelia from becoming a snack for the vampire (Doppelgangland 3.16).
''Back! Creature of the night! Leave this place!'' - Wesley
It eventually came out that Faith had gone rogue and Wesley completely lost control her (Enemies 3.17).
When Angel was poisoned with an arrow by Faith, Wesley attempted to get the Council of Watchers to help cure him, but they refused to, because Angel was a vampire. Because of this Buffy quit working for Wesley and the Council (Graduation Day Part 1 3.21).
''Don't you see what's happening? Faith poisoned Angel to distract you, to keep you out of the Mayor's way, and it's working. You need a strategy.'' - Wesley
Buffy forced Angel to drink her own blood to save his life. Angel stopped himself from draining her completely and took her to the hospital. In the hospital the mayor discovered Buffy was unconscious and Faith ina coma. He attempted to kill Buffy, but Angel stopped him. Buffy had a dream where Faith told Buffy to use human weakness against the mayor. After Buffy recovered she formulated a plan to enlist the entire high school in defeating the mayor. After much anticipation however Wesley and Cordelia just didn't spark romantically and decided to go their separate ways after Cordelia graduated from high school. With the help of Xander, Willow, Cordelia, Angel, Wesley, Jonathan, Harmony and Larry they organized the graduating student body into a small army which survived the mayor's vampire minions. Buffy goaded the demonized mayor into following her into the abandoned school library where Rupert set off a large bomb destroying the school and the mayor. After the fight Angel left for Los Angeles (Graduation
Day Part 2 3.22).
''I'm not here for the council. Just tell me how I can help.'' - Wesley
Wesley was fired from the Council of Watchers for losing control of both Slayers in his charge. He then decided a new image was in order and became a motorcycle riding, leather wearing, rogue demon hunter.
While tracking a demon killer Wesley ended up in Los Angeles, where he encountered Angel and Cordelia working as detectives. He aided them in finding the Empath demon Barney, who attempted to kidnap Cordelia and sell her newly enchanted eyes in an auction (Parting Gifts 1.10).
As Wesley attempted to translate a passage from the scroll Angel stole from Wolfram & Hart, the the lawyers summoned the demon Vocah to Earth, who was upset at the loss of the scroll. Wesley learned the scroll said the vampire with a soul would die. Vocah decided to cut Angel off from any connection to the Powers That Be, so he cursed Cordelia with unending visions, then killed the Oracles. Vocah then took the scroll and blew up the Angel Investigations headquarters, injuring Wesley. Angel learned from the ghost of an Oracle that only a spell on the scroll could save Cordelia. Angel asked Charles Gunn to watch over Wesley and and Cordelia in the hospital as he went hunting for Vocah. Wolfram & Hart used the scroll to secretly bring Darla back from the dead. Angel then killed Vocah and cut the hand off lawyer Lindsey McDonald to get the scroll and saved Cordelia. Wesley recovered and did further translation on the scroll and discovered it said the vampire with a soul would die
after living as a human being, which pleased Angel (To Shanshu In L.A. 1.22).
When Wesley needed contacts with the demon world he found his way to Caritas, where he brought Angel to gain information. Angel Investigations used Caritas to gain access to demon contacts, but it wasn't long before Angel was on stage singing Mandy (458kb) for the host, who helped him find a woman he was supposed to protect (Judgement 2.01).
After Cordelia, Wesley and Gunn were fired from Angel Investigations, they each found their way to Caritas where they got drunk and sang We Are The Champions (82kb) very badly for the host. Although they wanted guidance on the direction on their lives, the host let Cordelia's vision of a demon do the guiding for them. After slaying the demon the crew decided to keep Angel Investigations running without Angel (Redefinition 2.11).
Cordelia was the host for a young Skilosh demon, but Wesley saved her from it (Epiphany 2.16).
Wesley and Gunn joined up with a group of human rebels in Pylea. They were joined by Angel and Fred and together staged at attack on the castle to free Cordelia. Angel faced the Groosalugg in single combat, but Cordelia stopped them before Angel killed the Groosalugg, who she was in love with. With the Covenant of Tromboli defeated, Cordelia ordered all slaves freed and set up the Groosalugg as monarch of Pylea to rule in her place. Fred and Wesley were able to use the books of the Covenant to open a portal back to Earth. After returning home they found out from Willow that Buffy had died (There's No Place Like Pltrz Glrb 2.22).
When investigating a rash of odd deaths Angel's body was magically hijacked by an old man named Marcus Rosco, leaving Angel trapped in Marcus' body at a retirement home. Marcus used Angel's body to live up life, putting the moves on Fred and Lilah Morgan. When Marcus learned Angel was immortal, he decided to keep the body and kill Angel. Wesley, Gunn, Fred and Cordelia were about to figure out what happened and helped save Angel and get his body back (Carpe Noctem 3.04).
Lorne acquired a magic spell which was supposed to restore Cordelia's memory. Angel, Fred, Gunn and Wesley helped him cast it. The spell went wrong and left Angel, Fred, Gunn and Wesley with the minds they had as teenagers. After some misadventures in the hotel Lorne was able to talk Fred into helping him fix the spell, and everyone's memories were restored fully (Spin The Bottle 4.06).
Wesley was offered a position at the Los Angeles branch of Wolfram & Hart along with the other memebers of Angel
Investigations, and took it (Home 4x22).
Powers: Wesley has no superhuman powers, but he is trained in the efficient use of a number of ancient weapons, and has vast knowledge of demons and the occult. He has an almost uncanny ability to translate ancient writings and languages.
