+WILLOW+
"Prince
of night, I summon you! Come fill me with your black, naughty evil!"
Willow
Willow
was originally the reason I started watching the show and, while I've gradually
got into the other character, she remains my favourite character by some
margin. More than any other character, she has developed through out the
seasons, from a shy computer geek, to a less shy amateur wicca, to a kick-ass
lesbian witch with the power to harm a god. Development, you see.
Oz
came and went, leaving Willow more confident but still apparently straight.
Meeting Tara, however, was the big development in her character, as at
the same she explored both new magical and, hmm, sexual areas. Willow's
coming out also marked the change from her being very much Buffy's sidekick,
to someone who was realistically as powerful as her. Broadly speaking,
you could say there were a few key moments in Willow's life; firstly, meeting
Buffy, and having confirmed for her the fact that Sunnydale, and indeed
the world in general, is not as far from Hammer Horror as they tell you
in school. Secondly was her relationship with Oz, and her first (and, amusingly,
last) boyfriend. Third was her first big spell, the restoring of Angel's
soul, in which she showed an amazing aptitude for speaking unexpectedly
in latin with scary all-black eyes.
Fourth
was meeting her doppleself, and having an inkling that she had a darker
side than even most vampires - and, also, that she was kinda gay. Fifth
was losing Oz to another woman, and losing him largely because of sex -
namely that Oz was more sexually attracted to other women than he was to
her. This ultimately made her stronger, but in the process of this she
lost control of her magic - during which D'Hoffryn revealed to her that
she was powerful, extremely powerful, and that her power was linked to
her emotions. Six was meeting Tara, coming out, and being for the first
time not being concerned by what other people thought of her. Seventh was
her beginning, in Season 5, to assert herself as gay, and to put down suggestions
that she was still attracted to Xander, or men in general - at the same
time was her rapidly accelerating power, her knowledge expanding faster
than Tara, an experienced witch, could keep up with. Eight... well, that's
Season Six, so I'll leave that out for now.

Hannigan.com
Effectively
the Official site, currently it has become host to one of the biggest actress
messageboards, and even Buffy boards, on the net. Sadly not online at the
moment due to a friendly company called CiHost, who you should avoid very
much like the plague, messing everything up, it should be returning shortly,
so keep checking.
Alyson
Hannigan Corner
Has
a lot of stuff. No, more than that. No, even more than that. Yes, that's
right. A lot.
Alyson
Hannigan Online
Another great site that
kinda passed me by! But ignored no longer!
The
Ultimate Alyson Hannigan Fanpage
Alyson-Hannigan.de
is a great site... not as polished as HanniganDotCom, but it has a better
(more selective) image gallery.
The
Ultimate Willow Fan Page
Jolly
good site, and one of the first. I suggest you use caution when look at
the images section, though, unless you want to see Alyson with some really
dodgy haircuts!
Little
Willow's Slayground / We
Posses Willow Power
The
main thing I like about this site is that the pictures it uses of Alyson
aren't the ones where she's plastered in makeup. Which is good.
Witchy
Willow
This
site is the bee's leg-pivots. Extremely Willowy; slightly difficult to
navigate, but in a good way.
Willow's
Room
Nicely
layed-out new site dedicated to Alyson Hannigan, but also has Buffy stuff
as well.
Willow
and Tara's Room
No
relation to the above, this is a great site dedicated to Willow and Tara
and nothing else!
Willow,
Tara and Magic at the Other Side
A
general RPG and Buffy site with an excellent Willow and Tara section.
Willow
Teaches Java
The
basic concept is Java teaching site, only taught by Willow. Points
for originality, definitely!
AHAS
Forum
The
Alyson Hannigan Appreciation Society's messageboard, misleadingly refered
to as Chat, but very nice nonetheless.
