As a counter-post to the one about good writing, this is about the writers you don't like. Who make Faith seem forced? Make her say or do things that are out of character?
The writer at the top of my list is Marti Noxon. She's written episodes as brilliant as The Wish, but she has also written the vast majority of Buffy episodes that I didn't really like, including Faith ones. She makes Faith do things that just don't feel right, like she can't get the hang of the character or something. Anyone else notice that? _________________ :: Close your eyes and and see

I actually like Consequences a lot. *looks around sheepishly* I like everything with Faith and really don't pay attention to the writers much. I liked Beauty And The Beasts because Faith ran around with that tranq gun...hot. _________________

Consequences has some good things, it it's also shockingly bad.
Example: In Bad Girls, when Faith stakes Alan there's no blood on the bin behind him. He also doesn't utter a sound. In Consequences, when the cops visit the scene, there's a streak of blood on the bin, like he slid down it, and they talk about a woman hearing screams.
As a good writer, Marti Noxon should have paid attention to continuity...such HUGE mistakes are really very amateurish.
Also, I never ever understood why Giles never told Faith what he told Buffy: that such things, like staking an innocent, just happen with Slayers from time to time. Yes it's bad, but it has happened before, and Giles knows it's an accident. If he would have told Faith that, I bet she'd have been way less on edge, because she'd know that Giles knew too it was an accident, and not a murder.
Heh I could go on and on about this...but I'm sure I'm boring you all now. _________________ :: Close your eyes and and see

Isn't it also a bit weird, that Buffy was never questioned or in court when Faith went to jail, I mean she did have a big part in the killing of Finch. It could just as well have been Buffy with the stake and she had just as much responsibility of what happened. But no she was just automatically cleared of everything because she felt bad about it...?
Don't know who wrote that, but it annoys me. |

The thing that pisses me off the most is that Willow kills someone in S6, but Buffy doesn't get all high and mighty like she did with Faith. Double standards, anyone? lol _________________

Exactly. Things like what you two just mentioned are examples of bad writing, of not following up with continuity. Very annoying indeed. :/ _________________ :: Close your eyes and and see

Seriously, don''t get me started on the hell Faith had to go through for her so-called 'murder' versus the whole English retreat that Willow got for her flaying of Warren - which was SO MUCH WORSE than anything Faith ever did!
And, Andrew, anyone? He's on the f***ing 'new' Council or whatever, running after and looking after/training Slayers!!!!! What was his punishment for murdering Jonathan?!
*Ali explodes*
Oh - and I could writie an essay on how much Toxon sucks ass. Ugh! Consequences is a disaster through and through. Giles being totally stupid (he tells Buffy that innocents are murdered, but not Faith?! Where's the logic in that?!), Faith suddenly turning into a would-be cold blooded murderer for no reason whatsoever other than Toxon wanting it that way? Buffy doing nothing but moping around feeling sorry for herself and doing zip to help Faith until Angel 'captures' her? *runs screaming*
There's a reason no one has picked up Toxon's post BtVS endevours. |

Who wrote Lover's Walk?
In that episode Giles tells Buffy she should go away for college, because there's Faith to do the slayer work. Like she deserves no life? _________________ xxx Loes |
