Sooo.... I finally made it to the board, I guess
My name is Rebecca. I'm from Germany, Europe and I'm 19 years old. I had known Faith's Solace for some time but I never actually realized there was a forum .
So what can I say? Uh... I'm a big Faith and Eliza Fan and I was so impressed of the contents of Faith's Solace. I just love your great work on everything. Thanks for that
Hm... I just got Faiths' Tattoo (two weeks ago) on the right ankle and I just love it from the heart *cuddles her ankle*
Here are some pics:
Hm... guess that was it
*waves*

You know, I've often wondered that exact same thing myself. I pretty much run this board because no one else ever comes to it, haha. You'd think from the way everyone is missing that it takes soooooo much effort to click a link once a day to see if anything is new... _________________

I'm originally from "the OC," Orange County, California. Perhaps you've heard of it, heh. How's Germany these days? _________________

Uh.... I'm jealous now... I'd love to live in California. And "the O.C." - that's also a TV Show, right? Just started over here
Hm... how is Germany? Cold and rainy... We're waiting for the summer. Germany is very boring as always.
And how's California? Warm, I guess? _________________

Yes, sadly the OC is a TV show, which is nothing like 99.9% of the real Orange County. That sucks that it's cold and wet over there, it's pretty much summer weather here. I live right by the beach, life could be worse. _________________

Hm... how old are you? Are you going to school or are you working? *curious* _________________

I'm 21, I go to the University of California, Santa Barbara. This is what it looks like:
In this picture, my apartment would be slightly offscreen to the left. I'm majoring in English and Film Studies.
How about you? _________________

Wow. *speechless* The view is fantastic... *jealous again* I would love to life in California and I would even study (what I hate ).
How about me? Hm... I will start my (I don't know the right word, I hope that's right...) apprenticeship as Hotelier (Hotel Expert) in a famous Hotel in September. I'm working for a supermarket at the moment to earn the money for my removal to another city.
Most of the europeans don't go to college after the normal school (Highschool in the US). Don't really know why but other things seem to be more important than that over here. _________________

...I am so hung over. Alcohol is ruining my life haha...
Yes, apprenticeship is the right word, or internship, same thing. Sounds cool to work in a famous hotel. And yeah, everyone over here is obsessed with college, if you don't go to college you're looked at as a total slacker. _________________

Okay *keeps the words in mind* internship and apprenticeship - complicated words.
Yeah... hotels name is Maritim, don't know if you know it over there. It's like the Hilton or the Ritz. Four and a half stars. I'm really excited about september and the following three years.
Yes, I heard about that obsession in the US. It's a bit weird but going to college is a good thing even here in europe - so I can understand it in a way.
So you study Film Studies and English? How is it? Difficult? Much work? And what do you learn, I mean... exactly? _________________

Steal me some pens from the hotel, I love hotel pens...they last forever! Sadly I lost the ones I picked up in Vegas over Christmas...
English and Film Studies are both really just a LOT of writing. We do have film production courses but UCSB is more about film theory and the aesthetics of film, not so much the production. It does teach you how the techniques you need to make a movie, but a lot of it is analysis of editing, cinematography, etc.
In English we just cover pretty much every literary topic in the English language, so again, lots of writing and whatnot.
For me, writing comes naturally--if you've read my stories on Solace, which include Origin, Faithless, and Requiem, among others--then you know that for me to write an 8-page academic paper takes about 1% of my writing ability, heh. _________________

lol The Maritimpens are just white with a "Maritim Bonn" imprint... nothing special. But I will send you some if you want me to ^^
Wow.... sounds interesting. I had English and German LK (means Leitungskurs which means you have more lessons in that subject than in the others and more exams to pass) at the Gymnasium (it's something like Highschool but for students who want to study afterwards) and your explaination sounds very much like the explaination of these two subjecs. We just made text analysis or wrote our own texts. In English we covered pretty much every literary topic, either. We also discussed something called "Filmanalyse" what means movie analysis where you take a closer look at the camera angles or something else.
Oh ja... I read your Fanfics. They're really good. Okay, for the matter that they are about Faith, I just love almost every story where she is the maincharakter
Hm... and what's your plan after college? _________________
