1800 Drusilla, feeling left out of the love between Angelus and Darla, decides to make herself a playmate just as William storms past them. Drusilla follows him and offers to unleash his imagination. She turns him into a vampire. Drusilla and William burst through the doors into a suite belonging to the now dead Ambassador and his wife. She introduces William to Angelus. Angelus confesses that he would like to share the slaughter of innocence with another man; he’s been in the company of his ladies for too long and thinks they will be the best of friends. Later, in a carriage, William and Angelus laugh together at the memory of their most recent kill at a wedding ceremony and Angelus offers Spike the half of the still-breathing bride. William declines, keen on finding Drusilla, who is out prowling for street urchins he tells Angelus that she is his 'destiny'. Angelus agrees she is special, although a little mad, and stops the coach to let William out. But later, William walks into the bedroom to find Angelus and Drusilla having sex. William is clearly devastated as Angelus mocks him telling Drusilla that William thinks she is his destiny. They fight but Angelus informs him that things are different now, he can take what he wants; when he wants, but nothing is his, not even Drusilla. William informs says he’s wrong, that they are forever. She asks if they are. Angelus chuckles, William’s still the poet, and suggests to him that he finds another name; William doesn’t strike the right note of terror. William and Angelus and Spike fight some more. When news of girl’s death reaches the Kalderash Gypsy tribe, they curse Angelus with a soul. He arrives too late to stop the process. One of the family elders assures him that he will remember everything in a moment, including all those he killed. It hits Angelus. Darla arrives home to find Angelus cowering in the corner. He's raving about all the murders he's committed over the last 140 odd years he tells her about the curse, and she realizes he has a soul, she tries to stake him but he rushes off into the night. Angelus wanders the streets dishevelled. He tries to feed on a helpless woman but can’t go through with it Romania. Angelus is walking aimlessly through the hills of Romania as Darla, Spike and Drusilla pay a visit to the Kalderash. Darla tries to bargain with the gypsy father to reverse the spell or his family will die. Unfortunately, Spike has already snacked upon them in the wagon, and Darla breaks his neck.
The Spanish settle at Boca Del Infernio (the mouth of Hell), and create a mission there. The mission will serve as prison grounds against the Chumash Indian tribe, disease will proliferate there. The Chumash will also be used as slave labour, and any rebelling members are hanged. The Chumash were often accused of stealing, for which they were maimed and killed.
1803
El Encanto, Mexico. The ancient Shroud of Rahmon is removed from its casing, causing the entire population of El Encanto to go mad: mothers and children hacking one another to pieces, men roaming the streets like rabid dogs and so on. It is eventually returned inside the one-ton case and buried.
1812
Boca Di Infernio. An earthquake causes the Spanish Mission to sink below ground. Sunnydale will eventually be built on top of it
1838
December; Dublin, Ireland. Angelus tracks down Daniel, a man who owes him money in a card game, and feeds off of him. He later attends a gentleman’s party where he feeds on a maidservant and her son.
1843
Madrid, Spain. Luke, servant of the Master, is caught off guard by an attacker while he sleeps. They fight and his assailant escapes with his life.
1857
Charles Baudelaire, poet, publishes his first edition of "Fleurs du Mal" which includes the poem
"Le Vampire," about Angelus. The encounter helped define Baudelaire's belief that evil forces
surrounded mankind, most likely while he was drunk. The "real vampire" angle of the poem will be a
persistent rumour in the decades that follow.
1860
London, England. Drusilla has a vision of two miners dying in a cave in, and it comes to pass. Her mother says she is cursed and that her visions are an affront to God.
London, England. Darla shows Angelus his newest gift: among three young sisters, pure virgins, one of them has the sight (visions): his surprise. He begins terrorizing her, and later, while feeding from a priest in a confessional, hears Drusilla’s confession about the miners. Angelus tells her that the Lord has plans for even a devil-child like her. He encourages her to do god’s will and be evil. Angelus then starts killing her family and torturing her in different ways and on the day she takes her Holy Orders, Angelus kills the priests in the church and drives her insane. As a finishing touch, he has sex with Darla in the church in front of her. Angelus plans to turn her into a vampire, eternal torment.

1880
A rash of murders plagues London.
London, England. William attends a party and composes a poem in honour of Cecily Adams, a young woman whom he’s in love with. However he is made a fool of at the party with his horrible poetry (where his nickname “William the Bloody” arises from his bloody-awful poetry) and Cecily turns him down, he’s beneath her.
London, England. Newly turned vampire William returns to his and his mother’s house with Drusilla. He tantalizes her with plans to lay waste to the world…along with his (sick) mother, Anne. His mother has been worried about him for days. He introduces her to Drusilla and says he’s a changed man, he’s a vampire. He takes his mother and turns her into a vampire. When she rises however, she is healthy again but the love she felt for him is gone, she loves being cruel to him now, and how he had hoped he’d find a woman to release her of his love. And while he says he’s changed she tells him he’ll always be a limp sentimental fool and that he wanted more than her love. He can’t stand her like this, and kills her.
London, England. Angelus and Darla have a fight and she returns to see the Master. He and Drusilla meanwhile feast on an Ambassador and his wife and the Royal London Hotel
London, England. William, now Spike, fights an angry mob using nothing but his fists and fangs. The situation forces Angelus, Darla, Drusilla and himself to hide in a mineshaft in Yorkshire. Angelus resists killing him and gets him interested in the Slayer.

Lyle and Tector Gorch, outlaws from Abilene make a reputation for themselves my massacring an entire Mexican village.
1890
Angelus attends a performance of Giselle by the Blenikoff ballet troupe. He is moved to tears.
1892
Fall River, Massachusetts; August 4. Lizzie Borden, possessed by a young Ethros demon, kills her step-mother, Abby Durfee Gray, and her father Andrew. His face was hacked repeatedly while Abby’s head was cut off. There was a curious lack of blood and theories that she hacked them naked so she could sponge down in a hurry.
1893
Frankfurt, Germany. Angelus, Darla, Spike and Dru cross paths with The Immortal, who
taunts them by personally hatching the Rathruhn Egg and giving safe passage to nuns
that Angelus wanted for himself. Angelus takes this personally.
1894
The Immortal returns to Rome after some 300 years, 15 decades of it spent in a Tibetan
Monastery.
Rome, Italy. Angelus, Darla, Drusilla and Spike are traveling and eating there when The Immortal
separates them, imprisoning Angelus and Spike in 'The Room of Pain' while successively seducing
and fornicating with both Darla and Dru, concurrently (something they never let Spike and
Angelus do). The men are released by one of The Immortal's subordinates, stating that the
Immortal has returned to his city (he was there first) and that Angelus's gang is to leave and
never come back, under penalty of agonizing death. Angelus and Spike kill the subordinate and
scare off the guards. They find their women spent after a few rounds with The Immortal. Shocked
and angered by The Immortal's transgression, the men try to confront/attack him at his gentlemen's
club, only to be turned back by the fact that they weren't invited and aren't on the list. So much
for blood vengeance this time.
1897
Bram Stoker releases the novel “Dracula” and the count, suddenly famous, forgets his old all about his old enemies, including with Spike, to whom he owes 11 pounds.
1898
Borsa, Romania. Darla has brought back a young gypsy girl for Angelus; he takes her while Darla watches.
1899
Utah. Two Children are found dead with strange markings on them. A rural community is torn apart by the suspicion, similar to the Salem witch trials.
The Ano-movic, once a violent nomadic tribe of demons, give up their orthodox teachings and language, and incorporate themselves into human society.
Richard Wilkins founds the town of Sunnydale over the old Boca Di Infernio Mission site.
Sunnydale, California.. Balthazar and his El Eliminati are driven out of Sunnydale by Richard Wilkins. Balthazar is believed to have been killed and his amulet, reputed to hold certain powers, is taken by a man named Gleaves.
