1972 Los Angeles, California. Denver picks up a special metallic glove in a yard sale in Covina. It is the one capable of killing a Kleynach demon. He find a new use for it as an oven mitt. Allen Francis Doyle is born from a human mother and a Brachen demon father. Doyle will never know his father, and his demonic origins are kept from him. 1976
Miss French, Substitute Biology Teacher, retires after more than 30 years of teaching. Her records would later be used by a She-Mantis so she could work at Sunnydale High.

Robin Wood is born.
England. 7 year-old Wesley sees a bird hitting the windowpane of his house. Wanting to bring it back to life, Wesley steals a resurrection spell from his father’s office. Roger stops him in time before he turns that bird into a zombie.

Barry Manilow II is released on LP. The song “Mandy” has a profound impact on Angel, who will even attend his concerts. The album will go double platinum.
1975
England. Twenty-one year-old Rupert Giles is studying History at Oxford and the occult by night when he dropped out. He moved to London and fell in with the worst crowd that would have him. They practiced magicks, small stuff for pleasure or gain. He and Ethan Rayne discovered Eyghon. One of them would go into a deep sleep and the other would summon him, it was an “extraordinary high.” But they couldn’t control it and Eyghon took over Randall, one of their friends. They tried to exorcise him from Randall, but it killed him. Eyghon lived on, biding his time.
United States. Angel is caught in the middle of a Donut Shop robbery, where the clerk is shot and the robber flees. Angel is too slow to save the clerk and watches him die. He locks up the shop and feeds on the clerk. After that incident, Angel gives up trying to live with the human population and retreats even further, surviving as a bum, eating nothing but rats.
Glorificus, a hellgod is trapped inside a human body after having been cast out of her hell dimension by those who feared her power.
1977
New York City. Nikki Wood, the Vampire Slayer, and Spike fight in Central Park. She
narrowly misses getting killed, saved only by a distraction her young son, Robin,
created. Spike isn't done with her and some time later, meets up with her in a
deserted subway train. She is pinned down and killed during the fight. Spike takes
her coat as a trophy. Nikki's death will fuel Robin's hatred and vengeance for his
entire life. He will also hold on to the Slayer Emergency Kit.

1979
A pub at Sunnydale hires a bartender, who’ll have to endure snotty UC Sunnydale students for two decades.
December 16. Roland Meeks, the concierge at the Hyperion Hotel, goes mad and makes made his morning wake-up calls with a twelve gauge shotgun, room to room. The hotel officially closed its doors on that day.
