Poll Me -

Last week we asked, "If Joss can't write the Spike Telefilm, who should do it?" Here are the results...

Jane Espenson - 23.7%
David Fury - 23.2%
Drew Goddard - 18.5%
Marti Noxon - 17.9%
Steven S. DeKnight - 5.8%
Doug Petrie - 4.8%

Total votes: 704

Everyone else was under 3%. Jane squeeks one out and beats Fury by .5%. Goddard pulls out 3rd place. And I love the amount of votes. I wish every week was like that. Let's see what you had to say...

"The words 'Tim' and 'Minear' come to mind...but he's busy with that private eye schtick, and Fury is busy with Lost...is Jeff Bell doing anything? Give it to Jeff!"
- Tony

Matt: Jeff Bell is writing Alias episodes. I probably should've had him on the list when I had Fury. Minear wasn't on the list because he's never written for Spike, as far as I know.

"I am voting for Brett Matthews. He did great stuff on both Angel AND in the comic books."
- Seven

Matt: You people are just being defiant this week.

"You want Marti on that wall; you need Marti on that wall. Cause deep down in places you don’t talk about at parties…you secretly wish you could be Marti…you can’t handle the Marti!"
- withheldbyrequest

Matt: "A Few Good Men"....sure, that scene hasn't been overused yet.

""other"...could we get Fury and Goddard? Actually, I'd like Fury Goddard, Jane, DeKnight and Marti, but that seems like asking a lot..."
- Sarcastic Voice

"Where was the option: Anyone but Marti Noxon? I would have voted that way ;D"
- Knoxybro

Matt: It's possibly true that if Marti wrote it, all we would get is James in a sock for 2 hours. I bet more spuffies are thinking, "Damn, why didn't I vote for Marti?"

"Fury has always said he thought of Spike as nothing but Evil. I prefer a Spike who is 3 Dimensional."
- Lioness

Matt: Actually, you're wrong. There was a TIME when Fury thought that Spike was nothing but evil. But you should listen to the "Lies My Parents Told Me" commentary (although extremely boring), Fury obviously doesn't think that anymore. And yes, this was actually a serious reply. Perish the thought.

"choosing between jane espenson and drew goddard is like choosing between spike and angel....why can't i just have both? hey, there's an idea...."
- amy

"Goddard, god dammit! He wrote Lineage, Damage, Why We Fight, Selfless and Conversations With Dead People. He is DA MAN!"
- mrsmarsters

"I voted for Petrie because of "Fool for Love", but I certainly considered DeKnight and Fury."
- G Thing

"How about Ben Edlund?? He'd do a good job, too."
- Kirsten

Matt: Yes, well, blame that on me. If you don't know by now, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I'm a butter knife. A dull butter knife.

New. Poll. Vote. Now. Hoebags.
