Summary: Willow is a FBI agent on a mission.

Willow kept her eyes sharp as she scanned the area in front of her.

"Hey Red."

She looked up as Spike entered her line of sight.

"Hey, I thought Ethan wanted you to stay in the van as back-up." It wasn't a question. No-one in the office knew more than Willow, that William 'Spike' Blood didn't follow rules well.

He smirked and took out a cigarette.

"Any sign of our girl yet?"

Willow shook her head no as her eyes scanned for the other Agents amongst the quests in the room.

"No, but Angelus is all set for her."

Spike snorted and Willow rolled her eyes. It also wasn't a well kept secret that Spike and Angelus hated each other.

"Like she'll even take the bait. The man is all forehead."

Willow was about to reply, when she saw moment out of the corner of her eye.

"Showtime Spike."


Buffy smiled as she accepted the glass of wine from the waiter.

Her eyes roamed the room, settling on the painting at the far end, before moving on.

"You look lovely my dear."

Buffy turned at the sound of the British voice, smiling when she saw Giles standing behind her.

"Hello Giles."

Ripper smiled and let his eyes wonder the room.

"There seems to be an awful lot of people here tonight."

Buffy agreed and turned back to face the crowd.

"So, where is Gunn?" Her voice, once soft, turned serious and Ripper stood straighter at the sound.

"He's outside, making sure no-one…unsavory comes in."

"Good."


Willow may have seemed like she was involved in a riveting conversation with a older man concerning the beautiful chandelier, but she had her eyes and ears open to what was going on around her.

She felt her blood rushing when she saw Angelus about to make his move.

This had to work. They had been after Summers for over five years, and no matter what charges they could bring against her, she always got out of it.

If Buffy didn't play ball with Angelus, it was two years of planning down the tube.


"Beautiful."

Buffy turned at the voice to see a man standing behind her, one she didn't know.

"The painting? Yes." She turned back to admiring the Renoir painting.

She heard him laugh a little, though it sounded strained to her ears.

"Well, yes, that too. But I was talking about the beauty admiring it."

Buffy rolled her eyes and turned to face him.

"Does that line ever work?" she saw a few of her people start towards her, but she gave a tiny shake of her head and they held back.

Angelus could see the disinterest in her eyes and hear it in her voice.

He had to work fast here.

"Sorry, I just meant that…it was a compliment."

Buffy smiled at seeing how flustered he was.

"Its okay."

Angelus let out a relieved breath that he concealed by ducking his head.

"This may be a little forward of me, but I was wondering if maybe I could take you out to dinner some time?"

Buffy's eyes widened, but she wasn't looking at Angelus.

"I'm sorry, but you really aren't my type."

She walked away and left him standing there.

"Ripper, the redhead in the maroon dress, find out who she is."


The entire team bar Spike, had snuck outside to regroup.

"What are we going to do now?"

"Well, Angelus failed so he's out." Angelus snorted in the background.

Ethan stepped forward and gained the attention of his team.

"This cannot fail. We have spent too long planning everything. Everyone get back in that room. I don't care who it is, but by the end of this night, one of you had better have arranged to meet her again. We need an In people."

Everyone turned back, each going into the building in pairs or alone.


Willow's hopes dropped as she watched Agent after Agent try to seduce Buffy, but it just wasn't working.

Sighing, she turned to go out into the garden, knowing that one of the men with Buffy was out there.

"Hello."

Willow jumped and turned to face the person behind her, only to see Buffy.

'Relax Rosenberg'

"Hey."

Buffy smiled and moved to stand beside the redhead.

"So, why is it, that a woman as beautiful as you is standing out here alone."

Willow blushed, she couldn't help it.

"I just wanted some fresh air."

Buffy nodded and looked back into the party.

"I hear that, I was ready for tearing my hair out in there. Is it me, or are the men in this room single minded?"

Willow gave her a small smile and shrugged.

Taking a breath, she held her hand out.

"I'm Willow."

Buffy grasped her hand and Willow actually shivered.

'that can't be good'

"Buffy Summers." Buffy wanted Willow closely.

Willow, to her credit, gave nothing away.

"So, Buffy Summers, why is it you are out here alone?"

Buffy shrugged and leaned back on the railing.

"But I'm not alone, you're here."


Ethan, do you see what I see?"

Ethan nodded to Angelus.

"No wonder she didn't want you. Looks like she wants our Willow though."


Buffy's eyes wandered the gardens as she talked to Willow, noticing that Gunn was within her line of sight, she gave him a nod.

"So, are you here alone?"

Willow nodded her head.

"Well then, it's a good thing I came along."

Willow smiled and gestured back into the room.

"What about you?"

Buffy followed her eyes and smiled when she saw Ripper talking to Penn.

"I'm here with some people."

'right Will, time to get the Oscar'

"Oh, right then, I guess you'd better get back to them." she turned and walked back into the room, when she felt her arm grasped.

"I like it fine just here."

Turned her head, she gave Buffy a small smile.

"I don't want to keep you from your friends."

Buffy shook her head and pulled an unresisting Willow back outside.

"Trust me, I really don't mind."


They had been talking for half an hour when they were interrupted.

"Excuse me Buffy, but could I have a word?"

Buffy nodded to Ripper and stood up.

"I'll be back in a few minutes Willow."

Willow nodded her head and stood up to stretch her muscles when she was alone.

"So, Red, how's it going?"

Willow eeped and turned to face a smirking Spike.

"Why didn't we know Buffy was gay? It would have made tonight less of a shock."

Spike shrugged.

"She must keep it close to her chest, so to speak."

Willow panicked as she saw Buffy heading back over to them, her eyes trained on Spike."

"Hey Willow, making knew friends?"

Spike spoke up before Willow could.

"I was just about to ask this lovely lady to dance."

Buffy frowned at him and turned to Willow, who blushed and accepted Spike's hand, leaving Buffy standing there.

"Spike what the hell are you playing at?"

He pulled her closer and leaned down to whisper in her ear.

"I'm making the bint jealous. Don't look, but she is glaring daggers at me."

Buffy glared from the garden as she watched the bleached blond dance with the redhead.

"Hey boss."

She turned to see Gunn by her side.

"Gunn."

"You okay?"

She nodded her head, and saw Willow head back over.

"Would you mind getting everyone together, we're leaving soon."

He nodded and left to round up their party just as Willow came back.

"I take it that was one of your friends?"

Buffy looked around for the blonde man and smiled when she didn't see him.

"Where is the Billy Idol wannabe?"

Willow hid her smirk. Spike was so getting a present when this was all over.

"He wanted a one night stand type of date. He wasn't really my type."

Buffy smirked and moved closer.

"So, what is your type?"

Willow made sure Buffy saw her gaze drop to the blondes lips.

Before Willow could answer, Buffy beat her to it.

"How about we go somewhere a little more private and…talk." Buffy didn't pose it as a question, and Willow knew that Spike was right.

The blonde was used to getting things her own way. If this played out like Spike said it would, this assignment would be over soon.

Turning, Willow was about to walk away from Buffy, when she stopped and turned back, a sad look on her face.

"I don't do one night stands. I thought we were getting on, guess not. See you around Buffy."

Willow made it ten paces, praying with each step that Buffy stopped her and that she didn't just blow everything.

Her shoulders nearly sagged in relief when she felt a tiny hand on her arm.

"Wait, I didn't mean it like that…well I did, but I want to get to know you as well. How about you let me call you tomorrow, we could do dinner."

Willow pretended to think about it for a few seconds, not seeing the hope in Buffy's eyes.

"Alright, but I want you to know that I'm not going to just jump into bed with you. If that's what you want, I'm not your girl."

Buffy smiled and accepted the card Willow was giving her with her telephone number on it.

"You just carry around your number on pieces of card handing them out to people?"

Willow smiled and pulled away, frowning as she realized that she didn't mind the blonde's touch.

"Look closer."

Willow walked away, leaving Buffy to look at the fake business card.

Thank god Ethan had given them all knew identities to work on this case, otherwise, she would be a dead FBI agent.


"Willow, from now on, you wont come into the office and you will ring us on this Cell." Ethan handed Willow the encrypted cell phone and threw a file on the desk.

"This is everything. Read it, know who she is. Don't go into this blond."


Willow stared at the file lying on her bed, before finally opening it.

"Elizabeth Summers aka Buffy Summers, born January 19th blah blah blah…"

Willow read on until she found what she needed.

"Murder, theft, deception, disappearances…"

Willow looked up, when the phone rang.

"Hello?"

"How about dinner at my place tonight?"

Willow looked at the files, thinking of one word in particular.

"I thought we were going to a restaurant?"

"Change of plan. I forgot that I'm hosting a dinner party tonight, and I would love it if you came."

Willow looked at the clock above her.

"What time?"

"I'll have a car pick you up at seven sharp."

Willow didn't need to ask how Buffy got her address. The blonde had probably had her checked out the moment they met.

"How do you know where I live?"

"A good magician never reveals their secrets." Willow could hear the smile in Buffy words.

"Fine, I'll be ready at seven."

"Great, see you later then."

Willow said her goodbyes and picked up the cell Ethan had given her.

"Hey boss, I'm going to her house tonight for a dinner party…yeah…no I don't want any devices at all…of course, I'll take the smallest one I own…yes Sir…okay…I'll ring when I get back…yes Sir bye."

Willow hung up and went to her closest.

Pushing the clothes to each side, she knelt down and removed all the shoes at the bottom. When it was cleared, Willow removed the fake bottom and looked over her collection on weapons, looking for the smallest gun she owned.

Spying her 40-caliber PM40, she grabbed it and made sure it was loaded before putting everything back the way she had it.


Willow rolled her eyes as she heard a knock on her door at precisely seven pm.

When she got a look at the car Buffy sent, her mouth dropped open.

It wasn't a car, it was a fucking limo.


Willow had seen the house before, in photographs, but nothing prepared her for seeing it in real life.

'Its huge, bigger than huge'

When her driver opened her door, Willow stepped out and saw others making their way up the stone steps.

Pulling her dress up a little so it didn't drag on the ground, Willow tightened her shawl to ward off the cool breeze and started up the steps, only to be stopped at the top by a bouncer.

"Invitation please."

"I don't have one."

He glared at her.

"No invitation, no entrance."

Willow saw Buffy out of the corner of her eye and decided to break out her acting skills again.

"Fine." She huffed out, turning to go back down the steps.

"Willow!"

Turning, she saw Buffy making her way down to her, and noticed the glare she sent her bouncer.

"Sorry, I really need to hire people with brains." Buffy trailed off as she got a look at the redhead.

"You look beautiful."

Willow blushed and dipped her head shyly.

When they walked passed the bouncer, Willow saw Buffy lean over to him, and from the look on his face, what she had to say wasn't nice.

"So, this is some house you have here."

Buffy smiled as she led Willow into her home.

"Yeah, its alright."

Willow made a big show of looking all around the hallway, which just happened to be the size of her entire first floor.

"Buffy, why me?"

Buffy frowned and leaned closer.

"Why you what?"

"Why did you pick me out at the showing last night? There were other women there, each one beautiful, yet you chose me. Why?"

"Because, none of those women could hold a candle to you Willow."

Willow shivered as she felt Buffy's breath on her ear.


Willow was standing on the balcony, looking over the sea of bodies below, when a hand gripped her arm, turning her to face the owner.

"Can I help you?"

She flinched away when he leaned in close to her.

"I got something you could help me with." He thrust against her and Willow's eyes widened as she felt his erection.

"Is there a problem here?"

Both turned at the sound of Buffy's voice.

"No problem here boss, me and the redhead here were just going to go somewhere more private."

Willow met Buffy's eyes and shook her head no.

Buffy glared at Parker and stepped forward.

"Willow, I would like you to meet Parker."

Parker backed away when he realized Buffy knew this girl, and from the look on her face, he was in trouble.

"Sorry, boss, I didn't know she was taken."

He scampered away before either could say anything.

"Am I?"

Buffy turned to look at Willow, who wouldn't meet her eyes.

"Are you what?"

"Am I taken?" Willow looked up to meet Buffy's eyes, and noticed that the blonde was much closer.

Buffy smiled before leaning in, leaving a small kiss on Willow's cheek.

"Definitely."


"Report."

Willow rolled her eyes at her boss's tone, and shifted the phone as she painted her toes.

"Nothing much happened. The place was packed with people, a few I recognized from the watch list we have, but she's not letting me in on anything yet."

"That's to be expected I suppose." He paused, and Willow could almost hear the next words out of his mouth.

"How are you?"

"I'm fine."

"Humph. Willow, you do realize that you need to be convincing with this woman?"

She frowned and finished painting her baby toe nail.

"Yeah, I get that Sir."

"Good, its just, well, your straight Willow. Are you sure this isn't going to be a problem?"

Willow rolled her eyes.

"Its not like I'm looking to fall in love with her, its just a case, and we need the evidence to get her behind bars."

"Good, remember that. Call in later."


Buffy looked up as the door to her office opened.

"Hey Giles."

"Buffy, we need to talk."

She set down the pen she was using and stood up, motioning him over to the leather couch in the room.

"What is it?"

"Darla."

Buffy sighed and sat forward.

"What has she done now?"

Ripper smiled and leaned back.

"She's in L.A, and she wants to see you."

Buffy smiled at the thought of seeing the other blonde.

"Great, I'll ring her in a few."

He patted her knee and stood up.

"Will you be seeing Willow today?"

The smile on her face was all the answer he needed.


Willow had literally set down her cell phone, when there was a know at her door.

Making her way to the door, she took a deep breath before opening it to reveal Buffy.

"Hey, you want to come in?"

Buffy nodded and made her way into Willow's house.

After a quick mental tally, Willow was happy that she had anything FBIish out of the way.

When she saw Buffy staring out her window, she walked over and forced herself to rest her hands lightly on the blondes waist.

"What's wrong?"

Willow gulped silently as Buffy leaned back into her.

"Mmm…nothing much."

Without meaning to, Willow dipped her head and inhaled the scent of Buffy's hair, groaning when she smelt the vanilla lotion the blonde used.

Buffy grinned and turned in her arms and before Willow knew what was happening, they were kissing.

It was a first for Willow, she had never kissed a girl before. Strangely, she found it nicer than kissing a guy, softer.

Buffy pulled back from the kiss to look Willow in the eye.

Willow shivered from the lust she could see in Buffy's.

She didn't have time to think before Buffy's lips were back on hers, her tongue seeking entrance to Willow's mouth.

Somewhere during the kiss, Willow realized that she was pressed into the couch, with Buffy on top of her, and that she wasn't faking her moan at Buffy palming her breast through her clothes.

Jerking back, Willow scooted out from under the confused blonde, hiding her confusion as nerves.

Buffy stood up and moved towards Willow, frowning when she moved back from her touch.

"Willow what's wrong?"

Willow turned away and moved over to the door, opening it and standing to the side.

"I think you should go."

Buffy's eyes widened before they went hard.

"What are you playing at?"

Willow's head jerked up and she flinched at the look in Buffy's eyes, thinking fast.

"Look, I told you I wasn't interested in a one night stand."

Buffy's eyes softened and she moved forward, wrapping Willow in a hug.

"Me neither."

Willow let her body relax in the arms of the blondes.

"Sorry, I just…" Willow trailed off and Buffy pulled back.

"Who hurt you so badly in the past?"

Willow ducked her head, going for shy.

"Everyone has a past Buffy."

Buffy sighed as she thought about her own.


It had been a month since Willow began dating Buffy, and in that time she had successfully avoided anything intimate, claiming she wanted to be sure before they went any further.

So far, Buffy had respected her decisions, but Willow had a feeling that the blonde was getting extremely frustrated.


"Hey baby." Buffy greeted Willow with a kiss and led her through the house and to the pool area, one of the places in the house Willow had yet to go.

"Hey yourself. Its beautiful out here." Willow dumped her bag containing her swimsuit on a deck chair and followed Buffy over to the bar area.

"Drink?"

"Just a water thanks."

Buffy nodded and poured Willow's drink before pouring herself a glass of wine.

"This is some place you have here Buffy, I mean, we've been going out for a month and there's still loads I haven't seen."

Buffy set down her wine glass and wrapped her arms around Willow's neck, leaning in to place little kisses up and down the column of her girlfriends throat.

"Anywhere…in particular you would like to see?"

Willow groaned, not able to stop her bodies reaction to the blonde.

Buffy smiled and continued sucking on the skin of Willow's neck, hoping that she would finally get her way.

Willow allowed herself to be moved backwards and sat when she felt a lounge chair behind her.

Buffy eagerly straddled the redhead as soon as she sat, and kneaded her shoulder's before letting her hands stray.

Both groaned as Buffy's hand made contact with Willow's breasts, a first for them.

It was Buffy's groan that brought Willow out of her haze of desire.

Gently, she pushed Buffy back, actually feeling guilty for the hurt look on the blondes face before she disguised it and stood up.

"I'm going to go and get changed, I'll be back in a few."

Buffy walked through the house and slammed the door of her bedroom closed.

"Dammit Willow."

She had just changed clothes when her cell rang.

"Hello…hey Giles…what did you find…she's here now…no come over later…okay." Buffy hung up the phone and stared out her window at the redhead in the pool.

"What's you story Willow?"


Willow smiled as Buffy came back out,

"Hey, I was worried that you got lost for a second there."

Buffy sat at the edge of the pool, letting her feet dangle into the water.

"Sorry, I had a phone call."

Willow frowned, there was something off about Buffy's tone of voice.

"Anything important?"

Buffy seemed to snap out of whatever mood she was in and shook her head no before standing up and shedding her robe and diving into the pool.

Willow closed her mouth after it had fell open when she saw Buffy's body for the first time.

Willow swam over to where Buffy surfaced and wrapped her arms around the blondes neck.

Buffy smiled and pulled her in closer, the nagging thoughts in the back of her head disappearing.

"I like this."

Willow pulled back to look at her.

"What?"

Buffy indicated the two of them.

"I like holding you and you holding me, makes things seem simpler. I never have to worry about…anything while I'm with you."

Willow felt guilty again but pushed it aside.

Leaning in, she met Buffy's lips in a gentle kiss before pulling back and taking a deep breath.

'I can do this'

"Make love to me."

Buffy's eyes widened before she smiled and led them both over to the pools edge and up the steps.

"Where are we going?" Willow frowned as Buffy left the pool area, having expected her to just go for it there and then.

"I want this to be special."

Willow followed Buffy into another part of the house she hadn't been in, and gasped when Buffy opened the door to her bedroom.

"Wow."

Buffy smiled and turned back to Willow.

"You sure about this?"

Willow didn't answer verbally, instead she leaned in and met Buffy's lips again, moaning low when their tongues clashed.

Pushing Buffy backwards, Willow followed her down when they landed on the bed.

"God I want you so much," gasped Buffy as she untied Willow's bikini top, groaning at the pert breasts that were revealed.

It was Willow's turn to groan as Buffy ducked her head to catch a hard nipple between her lips.

"Mmm…"

Buffy grinned around the nipple in her mouth, then gasp as Willow's hand came up to palm her own breast.

"Will…"

Willow looked down into the lust filled eyes of Buffy and for once forgot everything.

She wasn't a FBI agent.

Buffy wasn't a criminal.

And she wasn't faking.

Lowering her head, she fused their mouths together as clothes were shed.

"Beautiful." Willow whispered as she stared at Buffy's breasts.

Buffy's back arched up off the bed as Willow's tongue bathed her nipple.

"More…"

Willow added her teeth to the mix, smiling when Buffy squealed before tearing her mouth away and meshing their lips together in a kiss fuelled by passion.

"Want you…"

Buffy groaned as Willow's words washed over her.

Soon, they were both naked, and Willow found herself on top of Buffy.

"Make love to me." Buffy echoed Willow's words, gasping when Willow thrust their lower bodies together.

Moving the hand that was on Buffy's hip, Willow circled her lover's clit, loving the groans and gasps she got as a reward.

She jumped when she felt Buffy's finger at her entrance and looked up, meeting hazel eyes.

"Sure?"

Willow nodded, then groaned as Buffy thrust inside her, quickly copying her move and stretching a finger inside Buffy's body.

All too soon, they were both thrusting wildly, each looking for that something to push them over the edge.

Buffy gasped as Willow hit a spot inside her and her eyes flew open.

When their eyes locked, she lost it, her back arching above the bed as she came, feeling the contractions in Willow's body as the redhead came too.

Willow rode out her orgasm before collapsing onto of Buffy.

"Amazing."

Willow couldn't agree more and slipping off to the side before snuggling her body into Buffy's.

"Why did we wait so long for this?"

And just like that, everything came rushing back to Willow.

FBI, Criminal, Fake.

Not saying anything, she snuggled in tighter against Buffy and wondered when things got so complicated.

'when I fell for her.'

"So, I was thinking-"

"Never a good thing."

Buffy mock glared at Willow for the interruption before smiling and snuggling back into her lover's body.

"I need to go visit my brother and sister in Sunnydale-"

"You have a brother and sister?" Willow sat up straight. Why did no-one know about that?

"Yeah, Darla and Riley, anyway, I was wondering if you would maybe want to go with me?"

Willow's mind raced before a light bulb went off in her head.

"Buffy, we've been together for a while now, and we've…you know, but I still know next to nothing about you."

Buffy sat up and seemed to consider what Willow was saying for a few minutes before sighing.

"Ask me what you want to know then."

Willow's eyes widened before a thought hit her.

'what if this was a trap.'

She didn't think she'd done anything to make Buffy suspect her, but she wasn't stupid.

'something easy then'

"Do you have anymore brothers or sisters?"

Buffy smiled and relaxed against her.

"Darla is the oldest, then Riley, then me that's it."

Willow was quiet.

'why was it, that no-one in the FBI knew this? Why was it, that no-one knew anything personal about the blonde?'

"How come you've never mentioned them before?"

Buffy sat up and looked at her, though kept their bodies in contact.

"What about you? I mean other than the fact I know you're an independent art dealer, I know next to nothing about you."

Willow tried to hid her unease.

"My life hasn't been all roses and picnics Buffy." Untangling her limbs from the blondes, Willow stood up and began searching for something cover her with.

"What is that supposed to mean?"

Willow turned her head to look at Buffy, and caught a glimpse of who she really was.

Her eyes were hard, though her voice was soft, confusing the redhead.

"Look at how you live Buffy!"

Buffy stood up, unconcerned with her nudity.

"What does my having money have to do with anything?"

"But I don't even know where you got it all from!"

Buffy frowned at Willow's wording and walked closer.

"My grandparents raised the three of us. They died seven years ago leaving us a lot of money. Does that answer your question?"

'I knew that already! It doesn't explain the thefts, the murders.'

Willow dropped the shirt she was holding, one that belonged to Buffy, and sat on the bed.

"Nothing, its just…you keep me at a distance."

There was quiet for a few moments before Willow felt the bed dip beside her as Buffy sat.

"That's what I do, keep people out."

Willow turned her head, shocked at the emotions she could see in Buffy's eyes.

"But I am trying, with you. That's why I want you to come to Sunnydale with me."

'maybe this is the break I've been looking for'

"Okay then, when do we leave?"

Buffy smiled and leaned into her, leaving a kiss on her temple.

"As soon as you can be packed. I have the jet waiting."

Willow looked up shocked.

"Jet? Where exactly is Sunnydale?"

"About two hours away, much faster by jet."


"Giles."

He turned at the sound of her voice, and was shocked to see she actually looked happy.

"Good day?"

Buffy smiled and poured them both drinks.

"Best day ever."

He hated to do what he was about to, but she had to know.

"I've been putting out feelers about Willow and I've turned up some things."

Buffy swallowed her mouthful of wine and set down her glass, reaching for the file he held in his hands.

"Show me."

He handed her the file and sat down.

Buffy stared at the folder in her hands before opening it and reading the page before her.

Frowning, she met Ripper's gaze.

"Why am I reading high school and college records?"

He sighed and moved to sit beside her.

"Because, after graduating college, Willow Rosenberg disappeared for five years, before she turned up as an independent art dealer."

Buffy sighed and sat back, closing her eyes.

"So where was she then?"

"I don't know, but I don't think you can trust her fully."


"Yes Sir…tonight…Sunnydale, that's right, you know where it is?…yeah, can you believe she has a brother and sister, apparently they both live down there…I will sir…what is that supposed to mean?…I know my job Ethan…"

Willow tuned out the rest of her conversation with her boss, knowing he was knowing going over surveillance in Sunnydale.

Her world was getting murkier, and she knew the reason for it.


Willow noticed how tense Buffy was as they rode to the airport.

"Are you okay?"

Buffy looked over at her and Willow couldn't help thinking something was wrong.

"I'm fine, just have things on my mind."

Willow smiled and slid closer on the seat of the limo.

"Anything I can help with?" The huskiness of her own voice surprised her, and she saw a shudder rack Buffy.

Reaching, up, Buffy grabbed Willow behind the neck and pulled her into a harsh, demanding kiss, that the redhead didn't seem to mind.

He's got to be wrong, thought Buffy as she lowered them both into a horizontal position.


The plane landed with ease and Willow noticed the smiled Buffy couldn't get rid of.

"Why so happy?"

Willow was really worried when the smile slipped a little when Buffy turned to face her.

"Just happy to see my family."

She had thought twice about taking Willow, wanting to keep her family out of any problems that may arise, but in the end, Buffy went with her gut, and that was telling her that Willow could be trusted.


"Buff!"

Willow turned and saw another tiny blonde moving towards them, a tall guy with sandy blonde hair directly behind her.

Buffy's face lit up, and Willow was struck, she had never seen her look so happy.

"Darla! Riley!"

Buffy was soon sandwiched between the two.

"Hey Little Sis."

Willow waited patiently at the side, waiting for Buffy to make the introductions.

Riley broke away from the hug and turned to Ripper.

"Long time Rip."

Ripper stuck his hand out, and Willow saw the look they shared.

Riley was asking if Buffy was okay with his look, and Ripper was telling him yes with his own.

"And who is this lovely lady?"

Willow blushed when she realized Riley was talking about her.

Buffy took her hand and pulled her in close.

"This is my girlfriend Willow. Willow I would like you to meet Riley and Darla."

They both shook Willow's hand before Darla turned to Buffy with a sly look on her face.

"Must be serious if she's meeting us."

Buffy didn't respond except for shaking her head at her sister.

"Giles can you catch up with Ri while we get our luggage sorted?"

It was a diversion and he knew it. They paid people to get their luggage for them.

"Of course Buffy."

Darla must have turned to fast because Willow saw her flinch and raise her hand to her side.

"Are you okay?"

Buffy's full attention was now on her sister.

"Dar?"

Darla looked up and met her eyes before looking away.

"I'm fine."

"Bull."

Willow's gaze swung to Buffy, she had never heard her so angry.

"Buffy please, later."

Buffy threw a quick glance at Willow, which Willow pretended not to see, and sighed.

"Fine, but we will be talking about this sooner rather than later."


"Any news?"

Riley shook his head.

"We know he's in town, but that's it. He hasn't been at any of his usual hang outs."

"How is Darla?"

Riley turned to look back at his sisters.

"Something happened that she's not telling me about. But she'll be better now Buffy's here."

"Yes, I can't see your sister letting Nest away with this."


"We're alone now, so talk."

It had taken a while, but Buffy had convinced Willow to go out to the store with Riley to pick up a few things, giving her the chance to talk to Darla.

The woman in question sighed and eased herself onto her bed.

"How much do you know already?"

Buffy sat beside her and picked up her hand.

"Only what Riley has told me so far."

Darla nodded her head leaned back against the pillows.

"Nest showed up again. He begged and begged for me to forgive him, but I wouldn't, I was strong this time. I told him I wanted nothing to do with him. He lost it. Riley was out that night, he found me when he came home."

Buffy reached out and stroked her sisters hair, trying to control her anger.

"How bad was it?"

When Darla met her eyes, Buffy knew it was bad.

"He raped me."


Riley's cell ringing interrupted his conversation with Willow about how Buffy and she met.

"Riley…hey Buff wha…I'll be right there."

He flipped his phone closed and grabbed Willow's hand.

"Change of plan. We need to get back to the house."

His jaw was clenched and Willow was sure she could hear his teeth grinding.

"What is it? What's wrong?"

Riley stopped and turned to face his sisters lover. If Buffy had brought her to them, she had to trust her.

"If we don't get back to them in the next five minutes, Buffy is going to go off the deep end big style."

Willow gulped and hurried to keep up with him.

"And that's bad?" She had read the files, she knew how bad the blonde could be.

Riley turned, a frown on his face before he continued, his mind to occupied with thoughts of his family.

"If she finds Nest before we get back, she'll take him out, and I want a shot at the fucker."

Willow gulped, one thought running through her head.

'I have to call Ethan.'


Buffy was pacing and shouting at Ripper when they arrived.

"Where the FUCK is he?"

Ripper backed away. She may be half his size, but he wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of Buffy.

"We have men out looking, we WILL find him."

Buffy was about to go into another rant, when she noticed Willow and Riley.

Storming over to her brother, she grabbed him by the throat, making Ripper jump to his feet, and others who Willow hadn't noticed, stand to attention.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Her voice was deadly soft, and Willow realized, everything they knew about Buffy was true.

She felt sick knowing that she had feelings for the blonde. Just look at what she was doing to her Brother! Fingering her cell phone, she knew she needed to make the call.

Riley choked, but didn't fight her off.

"Tell…what?"

"That Nest RAPED her?"

He blanched, and Buffy realized through her rage, that he hadn't known.

Buffy removed her hand from his throat and turned to the waiting men in the room.

"Spread out, re-search the town. I want a call every thirty minutes. If he isn't found by midnight I am not going to be happy. Am I clear?"

They all nodded their heads and left, not concealing their weapons.

Buffy turned to Riley and raised her hand, rubbing the flesh of his neck that was now red.

"I'm sorry, I just thought…"

He pulled her into a hug and dropped a kiss on her head.

"S'ok. How is she?"

Buffy sighed and ran a hand through her hair.

"She's not good. I think it's finally hit her you know."

Buffy suddenly stood straight.

"Willow."

Willow was standing by the window, looking out. When she heard Buffy say her name, she closed the phone, knowing the team had heard what Buffy was planning. If they caught her red handed, no lawyer could get her off.

"Yeah?" She made sure her voice wobbled just enough.

Buffy swore under her breath.

"I forgot you were here."

Riley looked at his sister confused, Ripper looked nervous.

"What's going on?"

"Willow didn't exactly know about my more…unsavory activities."

Riley frowned but movement by the door caught his attention.

"Dar, you okay?"

She nodded and moved slowly into the room.

"I knew Buffy would sort it out."

Willow watched as Darla clung to Buffy, and it finally penetrated her brain what had happened.

Darla had been raped, and Buffy was going to kill whoever it was that did it.

And she had called the FBI.

'shit'

"Willow, we need to talk."

Willow watched as Buffy gently handed Darla over to Riley and walked over to her.

Taking the hand that was held out to her, Willow followed the blonde into a private study.

Buffy led them to a couch and sat down, pulling Willow with her.

Looking at the redhead she knew she was in love with, Buffy ignored Ripper's warning.

"I need to tell you about who I really am."

Willow's eyes widened.

'this is it, this is what I wanted…so how come I don't feel like hearing it…how come all I can think of, is the Buffy I've come to know?'

"When we were younger, our parents were murdered and my grandparents raised us. My father was the head of…well it wasn't the mafia, but even they couldn't touch him he was so powerful. The night they died, they were out celebrating their anniversary. On their way home to us, their car was destroyed by bullets. The police never found out who it was. I swore that I would. And I did."

Buffy paused and looked up to meet Willow's eyes.

"When I was sixteen, I began searching for the killers, and I found them. They worked out of L.A, so I moved down there and took over my father's company from Giles who was looking after it. Riley was supposed to take over when he was old enough, but he didn't want it. I did. Willow, I killed them."

Willow stood up, she had known Buffy was a killer, but she hadn't known the back-story.

Buffy stood up with her and grabbed her arm, spinning her around.

"They killed my mother and father. So I killed them."

Willow swallowed.

"What about this Nest guy?"

Buffy's eyes turned hard.

"No-one hurts my family Willow. No-one."

They were interrupted when Buffy's cell phone rang.

"Hello?…could you repeat that please?" Buffy turned to look at Willow as she listened to the person on the other end of the line.

Closing her eyes, she listened to what Ripper was telling her.

"-they are here in town, they must have known we would be here…Buffy, there's only one way the FBI would know where we were and that there was something going down."

She closed her phone without saying anything else and turned to stare out the window.

She was in love with the redhead, she knew that.

But she also knew something else now.

Turning to face the redhead, Buffy made her eyes hard and closed off her emotions.

"Who are you really Willow?"

'shit, she knows'

"What do you mean?"

Buffy stalked closer to her.

"Are you an agent, or an informer, its got to be one or the other."

Willow paled and reached for her gun.

Buffy saw her move and echoed it.

Willow had her gun leveled at Buffy's stomach, Buffy had hers aimed at Willow's.

"So, this is what it comes down to?"

Willow's eyes lowered before she raised her gun higher, pointing it at Buffy's chest.

Buffy raised her eyebrow, but kept her gun where it was.

"So, which was it Willow?"

Willow swallowed and tried to block the images of Buffy. Buffy laughing, Buffy smiling, Buffy kissing her, making love to her.

"I'm FBI."

Buffy's eyes closed.

"So, everything we had, everything we…did…it was all fake, you were just doing your job?"

Willow said nothing. She didn't know herself.

Buffy's eyes opened and she couldn't hide what she was feeling. Slowly, she lowered her gun and backed away.

"Get out."

Willow stood where she was, certain she had heard wrong.

"Get OUT."

That snapped her out of it. Keeping her gun trained on Buffy, Willow ran from the room and out of the house, never seeing as Buffy collapsed to her knees.


"Ethan, she knows."

He sighed and turned to face Willow.

"Are you okay?"

She shrugged and sat down beside him in the office he had commandeered from the Chief of Police in Sunnydale.

"Willow, you spent a lot of time with her, I realize that feelings can develop-"

"Ethan, don't. I'll be okay."

He nodded his head as Spike came in.

"They've found Nest."

Willow stood up.

"Where are they?"

The two stared at her as she suited up, placing weapons on various parts of her body before slipping a vest over her head.

She saw their looks and glared at them.

"I'm going, so back off okay?"


Buffy watched as Ripper kicked the shit out of Nest before calling a stop to it.

They had tracked him to an empty warehouse near the docks, and all she could smell was salty water and dead fish.

Walking over to the beaten man, she crouched and made sure he knew who it was before him.

"What did I do to make the head honcho come and get her hands dirty?"

Buffy spat in his face and stood up.

"You hurt my family."

He laughed, and Buffy cracked.

He never saw the gun move, but he felt the bullet tear through his flesh to make a home in his foot.

"So many body parts, so little bullets."

Suddenly, the doors of the warehouse burst open and over two dozen FBI Agents poured in, Willow in the front.

Riley gasped and stepped towards them.

"Buffy, why is your girlfriend wearing an FBI jacket?"

Everyone had their attention off the bleeding man on the floor.

The warehouse was packed between Buffy's people and the FBI.

No-one noticed when Nest scooted backwards.

"Ripper, long time no see."

Ethan stepped forward and raised his gun higher.

"Ethan." Ripper spat the name out, leaving no-one at a loss to what he thought of the fed.

Buffy's eyes hadn't let Willow's face, and even now when she knew the truth, she couldn't help her reaction to the other woman.

All she wanted to do was kill Nest, after him, Buffy knew she was finished. She had already talked about it with Ripper.

Speaking of…

Buffy swore when she saw he was gone.

Ignoring the FBI Agents, she turned to her brother.

"Who is with Darla?"

Buffy's people froze when they realized that no-one was.

Everyone was there.

And Nest was gone.

Buffy met Willow's eyes, and Willow knew what she was going to do a second before she did it.

Buffy raised her gun and fired at the canisters hanging from the roof.

The clatter they made when they fell gave Buffy enough time to get out, her people sharing fire with the feds.


Willow saw as Buffy snuck out the back, and knew when she was going.


Buffy approached the mansion from the back, sneaking in through the servants entrance.

As soon as she stepped foot in the house, she knew he was there.

It was way to quiet.

Keeping a quiet as possible, she made her way up to Darla's room, noting the dead maid and cook in the kitchen on the way.

The nearer she got to her sister, the more she heard and the angrier she got.


As Buffy was making her way up the stairs, Willow was making her way in the front.

When she saw the dead bodies, she checked her gun to make sure the safety was off and moved up the stairs.


Buffy burst into the room, and fired her shot, catching Nest in the upper arm.

"Get the fuck away from my sister."

Darla was on the bed, her shirt torn, and she was bleeding from the lip.

Nest let out a giggle and before Buffy knew it, she had a gun aimed at her.

They were at a stand off, with Darla in the middle.


Willow peaked into the room and saw the situation. Taking a deep breath, she charged in, drawing her own gun.


Buffy never took her eyes off Nest, even though she knew Willow was in the room.

Darla jumped off the bed and made her way over to her sister, only to be dragged back by the hair.

Buffy took a step forward and tightened her grip on her gun.

"Let her go."

Nest lowered her head, letting his tongue taste the skin before him.

Willow saw the sheer terror in Darla's eyes.

He jerked back when the bullet grazed his ear, releasing Darla from his grasp to press his hand over the now missing body part.

Buffy grabbed her sister and pulled her behind her, throwing a quick look at Willow.

Willow fired her gun again and shot the hand holding his own.

When he had dropped it, she moved forward and kicked it away.

"Move."

She turned at the sound of Buffy's voice and shook her head no.

Buffy took a step forward.

"Willow. Move. Now."

Willow straightened and pointed her gun at Buffy.

"You aren't killing him."

Buffy laughed and pointed to Darla.

"He raped my sister. Nothing is going to stop me from killing him."

Willow tightened her own grip on her gun, and stayed between Buffy and the bleeding man on the floor.

"We've been here before."

Buffy realized what she was talking about.

"This time my gun is loaded…so move."

Willow absorbed that piece of information before shaking her head no.

"In one minute, this place is going to be swarming with Agents."

Buffy's head tilted, wondering why Willow was telling her this.

"They still don't have anything on you technically, if you leave now, it will stay that way."

Buffy heard the sirens and looked at her sister before looking at Willow again.

"Go."

Reaching down, Buffy helped Darla stand and the two made their way out of the room.

Willow turned back to Nest and glared at him when he tried to stand.

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to be speak to an attorney, and to have an attorney present during any questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Do you understand you asshole?"

Nest spat at her and Willow didn't even feel bad when she kicked him in the ribs.

"I should have let her kill you."


Buffy looked at the people around her.

Ripper, Riley, Darla and a few other people that worked for her.

"I'm out."

Ripper of course knew, the others did not.

Riley and Darla looked at their sister in concern.

"Where will you go?"

She was about to answer, when her secretary buzzed her.

"Sorry to interrupt Miss Summers, but a Willow Rosenberg is here to see you."

Buffy's eyes closed.

"Could everyone please give me a few minutes."

Everyone piled out, Riley and Darla both glaring at Willow when they passed her.

"Hey."

"Agent Rosenberg."

Willow sat on the couch.

"So, have you come to arrest me then?"

Willow shook her head no.

"I never told them, even though I have a full taped confession."

Buffy's head whipped up.

"You recorded me?" She didn't know why she was surprised at that, its what the FBI did.

"Only that once, it was a fluke."

Buffy processed that and walked over to her window. Her office was on the thirtieth floor, so the view was amazing.

Buffy didn't see it though.

"Why am I not in jail then?"

Willow stood up and approached the blonde.

"Because I fell in love."


Buffy whipped around to face Willow, disbelieve in her eyes.

"You fell in love?"

Willow nodded and Buffy didn't say anymore.

'I blew it, totally.'

When Buffy didn't say anything, Willow turned and walked to the door.

"I realized that we can't be together, what with you being a criminal and me being a fed, but I thought you should know."

Before Willow could get the door opened, Buffy was there, blocking her way.

"if you could, would you leave it?"

Willow frowned, not knowing what Buffy was talking about.

"The FBI, would you leave it?"

When Willow didn't answer, Buffy backed away.

"Why are you asking?"

Buffy looked around the office before meeting Willow's eyes.

"Because, I'm leaving."

Willow's eyes widened.

"When?"

"Pretty much now."

Willow frowned.

"Where are you going?"

Buffy shrugged.

"It doesn't matter, its not like money is an issue."

Taking a step closer to Willow, Buffy leaned in, lacing a small kiss on the redheads startled lips.

"Would you leave it?"

Willow took a deep breath.

She loved her job, she couldn't deny that.

Buffy closed her eyes and backed away.

"Right, well, then I guess this is goodbye."

Willow needed to think about this, she couldn't just decide on the spot like-

"I'll go."

Willow didn't know who was more shocked, her, or Buffy.

Before she knew it, Buffy was in front of her, kissing her as if her life depended on it.

"I love you." Buffy had never said the words before to anyone outside her family.

Willow smiled, even as tears came to her eyes.

"I love you too."

Before either knew what was happening, they were spread out on the couch, clothes askew, and hangs groping.

"Buffy…

Buffy looked up into bright green eyes and smiled.

"Tell me this is real."

"Its real Buffy."


Ripper couldn't hear what was going on in the office and he was tired of the others speculating.

Peaking his head in, he smirked before closing the door.

"I think its safe to say Buffy isn't going to prison."


Willow gasped as Buffy's thrusting fingers moved deeper inside her.

"Harder…"

Buffy complied and groaned as Willow copied her.

They were both racing towards their orgasm when Buffy started slowing down.

"Nooo, faster…"

Buffy smiled and leaned up to kiss the girl on top of her.

"I want this to last."

Willow calmed her racing pulse and gazed down into Buffy's hazel eyes.

They slowed their thrusting and began a gently rock, each one crying out at the feeling of the other.

"…love you…"

It was over quicker than Buffy wanted, but she couldn't deny that she was truly happy.

"So, when do we leave?"

Buffy smiled and pulled Willow tighter to her.

"How soon can you ring your boss?
