Ryan Reynolds ("Blade: Trinity", "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle", "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place" ) posted this at the official Blade 3: Trinity Message Board:
"getting into acting? i had the benefit of beginning my career in vancouver, canada. when i started i only worked drama. at the time vancouver was the "movie of the week" capital of the world - cheesy tele-drama's cranked out with the efficiency of a tommy-gun. by seventeen, i realized i could only cry with Donna Mills so much. so, i got into improv comedy and ended up moving to LA. i was fortunate enough to have a resume under my belt which helped me secure an agent. ironically, the first role i was ever offered was BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. i loved joss whedon and loved the role, but felt i'd be happier in front of a live audience. highschool was hell for me, and i'd be damned if i was going to go back, even if it was on t.v. this time. hence, i entered the sitcom world."
And now the question: Which role would be his role? The SMGBoard-users think, it could be Xander!
Xander? A moment please... does Ryan Reynolds fit as Xander, the loser? (I know, he is actually not a loser.) Ryan said, he "loved Joss Whedon", that means, he heard about Joss, but I don't know, if Joss was known before "Buffy". Well, he made some great work ("Toy Story"), but was he really known in Hollywood?
I would think, it was a smaller part: recurring or guest or a main in the later seasons.
But, his sitcom started midseason 1998, that means Season one or two could fit.
What do you think?
Look at the pictures and tell me, could he be Xander?
Or which role could be meant? Riley? Angel? Oz? Maybe recurring roles like Ben, Percy or Scott Hope?
