A new princess comes pirouetting onto our screens this summer, a beautiful and determined heroine with a passion for ice-skating. The glistening Ice Princess skates onto Disney DVD from 22nd August and follows the journey of Casey Carlyle (Michelle Trachtenberg) as she defies family, friends and coaches to accomplish her dream.
A shy, hard working science student from Connecticut, Casey Carlyle must complete a physics project over the summer for her Harvard scholarship application that demonstrates her knowledge and conveys her personality. Graceful Michelle Trachtenberg (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) stars as Casey who whilst fulfilling her mother’s dream of applying to the prestigious Harvard, discovers that there is more to life than schoolbooks. Combining her love of ice-skating and physics, she creates the perfect project and she is soon training night and day, to uncover the aerodynamics of the sport. With the help of some unlikely friends, a hunky Zamboni-driving teenage boy and a new found self-confidence, Casey begins to believe in herself more than ever before.
Ice Princess is a touching tale of growing up, overcoming insecurities and fitting in and is guaranteed to get you reaching for your skates when it is released on Disney DVD on 22nd August
