 | Wednesday Ratings Roundup! How did "Lost" and "Veronica Mars"? Overnight and final ratings! |
2 great episodes, the "Lost" one with a captured Daniel Dae Kim and the "Veronica Mars" episode with Kevin Smith making money out of a catastrophe and hot Charisma Carpenter having some.
Mediaweek:
Final Wednesday Nationals:
Led by 22.38 million viewers and a 9.2/22 among adults for Lost, ABC owns Wednesday, besting No. 2 CBS this week by a hefty 3.15 million viewers and 68 percent in the demo. In season/series-premiere news, the WB’s returning One Tree Hill may not be capable of anchoring an evening, at a last-place 3.46 million viewers and a 1.7/ 5 among adults 18-49 at 8 p.m. That led into a distant fifth-place 2.77 million viewers and a 1.3/ 3 among adults 18-49 for the premiere of drama Related at 9 p.m. Last in the 9 p.m. hour despite ample support from lead-in America’s Next Top Model was UPN’s Veronica Mars, with 2.73 million viewers and a 1.0/ 3 among adults 18-49.
These are the final numbers, most times, we showed you the overnights.
Here again the overnights, which aren't the exact numbers:
At 9 p.m., there was no stopping ABC’s Lost, with the must see drama first overall for the evening at a 14.3/20 in the overnights, 22.04 million viewers and a 9.0/22 among adults 18-49.
Also in the 9 p.m. hour was successful Fox band-aid Nanny 911 (Overnights: #3, 5.5/ 8; Viewers: #3, 7.31 million; A18-49: #2, 2.8/ 7), and UPN’s unfortunately limited Veronica Mars (Overnights: #5, 2.6/ 4; Viewers: #6, 3.02 million; A18-49: #5t, 1.3/ 3). Although this is an improvement for Veronica Mars from one year earlier, retention out of America’s Next Top Model of just 59 percent in the overnights, 64 percent in total viewers and 59 percent among adults 18-49 is concerning.
