Buffy goes on a Diet - Slim sets announced |
"Buffy has shed some weight, at least in terms of shelf space. Fox has announced that they are repromoting Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 1-7 in new slim packaging, and at a reduced price. They recently did the same thing with The X-Files, however they removed the last disc in each season set which reduced the included bonus materials. Fox has clearly labeled the disc count with the slimmer Buffy releases, and they´re the same number of discs as previous releases. It appears as though these will be the same as the previously released sets, just a lower price, and with slimmer packaging, but we won´t know for sure until we get confirmation from Fox. Each set carries a suggested retail price of $39.98, a decent savings from the previous SRP´s of $ 59.95 (except season 1 which has always been $39.98). The sets will ship on May 30."
