"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" veteran Jane Espenson has inked a two-year overall deal with NBC Universal Television.
Under the seven-figure pact, Espenson will join an existing NBC Uni TV series and will develop new projects for the studio.
The deal is open to one-hour and half-hour projects given Espenson's diverse experience working on such drama series as Fox's "Tru Calling," "The Inside" and "Firefly," dramedy "Gilmore Girls" and such half-hours as ABC's "Jake in Progress" and "Ellen."
