Enjoyed this. A well-developed little episode.

Woohoo! Loved this! It was great, love to see angel get put on his ass because he's not the champion that Spike is.

Bloody brilliant sroty there. You rock, as always. And yes, that is my heartfelt and honest opinion.

I like these lines:

“I don’t want to live in a dream, Angel.”

“Dreams are better than reality, Buffy.”

“But you always have to wake up.”

Reminds me of Reptile Boy.

So what happens to Angel, he gooes to hell?

Reviewer: cordykitten Signed Date: 11/29/2008 - 11:25 am Title: Oneshot

Wow... Angel managed to do the worst: Take away not only the ability to make one's own decisions, he took away Buffy's memories too. Memories that make you what you are.
I'm glad Buffy woke up in time and Angel got to hear what she thought of it. And even more that Buffy got Spike back from hell. Would love to read his POV too if the muse behaves.
Good twist. :D

You are not rusty in the least. This was very good.

Reviewer: jgirl Anonymous Date: 11/28/2008 - 09:35 pm Title: Oneshot

I don't think your rusty at all. Loved the story would like to see the companion piece you mentioned. Would also be intersting to see all of the backstory about the sacrifice. But I loved it just the way it is.

Reviewer: Saggit Anonymous Date: 11/28/2008 - 08:59 pm Title: Oneshot

Nicely done. I might have wanted more along the way: more time spent in which Buffy came to gradually realize the unreality about her; more time with Angel playing mind tricks to convince Buffy; more time finding and regaining Spike. (Could it really have been that easy to get him, given that he was traded away in exchange for so much?) But I really liked the plot, and Buffy's dialog, and the general pacing. Well done.

Welcome back. This was excellent and would love more of this stories or anything else your muse prompts you with. You are an excellent writer and very much missed in the Spuffy fandom.

Reviewer: Rogue Anonymous Date: 11/28/2008 - 04:32 pm Title: Oneshot

Excellent one shot! Very interesting turn of events, and I loved how Illyria was the one to show Buffy the way. And I always love scenes where Buffy tells Angel off. He is an arrogant prick. You are most certainly NOT rusty in writing Spuffy; I don't think you could be if you tried. Great job, and I hope your muse cooperates 'cause I'd love to read the Spike companion piece!

Reviewer: Nicka Anonymous Date: 11/28/2008 - 04:20 pm Title: Oneshot

Interesting, a Spike piece would be good, its good to see you writing again.

Reviewer: All4Spike Signed Date: 11/28/2008 - 03:47 pm Title: Oneshot

Rusty? Not so much.
I can totally believe this scenario, with Angel's arrogant patronising attitude to Spike that he displayed all through season 5, his constant obsession with Buffy despite his proclaimed love for Cordy, as if Spike's fight for his soul and selfless sacrifice to save the world and unselfish love for Buffy made him somehow less than Angel with his own cursed soul and self-serving quest for redemption. Redemption is not redemption when it is sought out in expectation of a reward (the Shanshu). A mission to fight evil is not righteous when one charges for 'helping the helpless' (as Buffy pointed out when she was so short of cash).
Sorry... I seem to have gone off on a rant... Just shows how powerful your story is, and how realistic your premise! Loved it!

Reviewer: Jenn Anonymous Date: 11/28/2008 - 03:19 pm Title: Oneshot

Yay!! Fic from Addie!! I would love to have Spike's perspective if your muse cooperates! I loved Buffy's sense of wrongness, and of course what she remembers is those fabulous eyes.

wonderful tale, cleverly told...

Reviewer: nichbuket Anonymous Date: 11/28/2008 - 02:47 pm Title: Oneshot

I liked it. Never would call it rusty. :) If you feel the muse, you should defiantly do the companion piece.
