I've registered now on this site...email me if you want.
I have to say, I didn't read the other reviews before submitting my own, but it sounds like I was saying the same thing as most everyone else (some scarily similar).
This story has a lot of fans...it has SO much potential. :) Best Wishes.

Title: Roses in December
The opinion section below only lets me choose "Liked It"...but I LOVED this story. I have read all of the Originsverse stories you have posted here, and I am a big fan...but the way you linked Spike and Buffy together from previous lives is by far my FAVORITE beginning...
And I hope desperately that this is just a beginning. I would love to see the details of their victorian life come out; to see themselves find out what they once were. I also want to see how their relationships with their friends and significant others (Dru) develop, and how they deal their roles as master vampire and Slayer now that they are together. This was a big change from most of the other fanfics that I've read, since their relationship started at first site (season 2), and before Buffy had a relationship with Angel...which I'm assuming made it easier for her friends to accept her liking a vampire the second time around...and since Angel had a soul, and now Spike does not.
The aspect that makes me enjoy your writing over most other fanfic authors (I have one or two other favorites), is your explanation of Spike and Buffy's relationships...they NEED each other, like life blood; that it's just given, and it comes naturally to them when they find each other and/or give in to their feelings.
I hope to see more of this...PLEASE? I love writing, too, but I can never bring my writing to this level...with dialog. You are brilliant. :) I would LOVE to beta for you, if you need one. :)

I was actually coming to your page to reread something else when I found this. I don't know how I missed it. Are you absolutely sure you couldn't write more? Like a lot more? Because I think I could read this forever. Absolutely lovely.

Wow! This was so intense... and beautiful... and so well written. I know you said this was a one shot, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed, you never know ... someday your muse might really want to tell more about this story.
It would be wonderful to read a longer story about B & S and how they go on from here now that they're finally together again, how they deal with Drusilla & Angel, Buffy's friends, etc.
Or... I'd love to read about their past history. What really happened from their first meeting, to their falling in love, etc.
Oh my God, there's so much potential here!!! *bounces up and down*
Sorry, I got a little carried away *lol*. Honestly, whatever you decide, sequel/prequel or not, this is a wonderful piece of fiction, wonderfully done. I love all your work and this is just another confirmation of how talented you are. I can't wait to read more from you, whatever you decide to write. ; )
Thank you!

P.S. Sorry for any mistake, English isn't my mother tongue. *sheepish grin*

Oh good twist with the dreams of the past. 1785? Not long till 1789 then... bad timing to be in France.
Thought so (that I knew her husband) :) So Spike has the dreams too. That will make their meeting if they remember even more interesting.
Awe, I enjoyed their reunion very much. Fate indeed...
~ Wonderful story; too bad that is only a one-shot. Would love to read more. Or see Angel's face when he'll find out about it :)
Well done.

I know you said this one a one-shot, and I love the way you stop when they've just acknowledged that everything's just changed for both of them leaving the future wide open, but I desperately want you to continue with this story. Please? Pretty please? Pretty please with sugar on top... and sprinkles... and a cherry...?

i loved this! the wonder and awe that they both feel are well portrayed. i like that their present strength and status as predator were influenced by their previous stint as prey. i'm interested in finding out the nature of their connection, but the story stands wonderfully on its own.
Thanks for this!

That was soo lovely and beautiful. Loved the way you mixed the different story lines and left somethings up to the reader's imagination. Can't wait to read more of your work.

guh. And, wow. I really loved this; you did a fabo job of mixing canon with twist. I'd love more, but I have to admit that the one-shot format works well for this. There's enough mystery that I'm intrigued and will keep thinking about it for quite some time, but not so much that it detracted from my enjoyment. Thanks for sharing!

I absolutely loved this! I would also love to know the back-story or 'what happens next' - but I also love 'Origins' and am keenly awaiting the next chapter of that one. Too many good ideas!

Amazing. I loved it! Thank you so much for the great fic. I like the way you entwined the past and the present and brought in facts from cannon (i.e. taking French). Beautifully written!! :)
