Such a shame that we had to end there. Such a happy reunion hopefully to be followed by more fun and a bit of ass kicking. I do hope she finds Fred again. Heck, I've loved it and amm eagerly awaiting more. So glad they found each other. Please, update soon.

If she knew, she’d know he was coming for her. That he had found her as he’d promised."--A tiny bit glad that he's hurting, too, but even more glad that he's concerned that she may think he wasn't coming. Love how their thoughts run parallel.

Update! yay!! I did the 'happy dance' when I saw an update to this wonderful story. EVIL cliffhanger though. Glad Spike caught up with Buffy and I'm wondering how she's going to take the whole claimy thing. Really enjoying Fred in this. I always loved her. Great story. Can't wait for more!

I like your Fred; she is very helpful indeed. Never thought of Buffy working in a library but his is indeed something she should consider if she already knows her way around.
Thought so.. Buffy's pain were because of the claim; normal doctors can't help her with that. ~ Awe, Spike is back and just in the right moment :) ~ Loved it.

You sure know how to lift a girl's spirits - and I'm not just talking about Buffy ....... that ending was a fitting reunion for these two: pent-up aggression and excitement. Half is going to be released when they fight the vamps, and then half - or maybe even much more than that, is going on their face-to-face afterwards. If I said I fear for Buffy at that point, I'd be lying. Spike on the rampage? With her?
Oodles and oodles of anticipation. And an endless chunk of envy.
Great chapter.

well......yeah....wonder if those other vamps are just gonna walk away cuz of spike and buffy kissage. loved it lots and lots. i imagine that even though spike understands why buffy had to leave, that he'll still be a tad be upset. more soon. great job.

Love this story. I know that Fred is being nice. But she got on my nerves a little in this chapter. She was being too pushy. She doesn't know Buffy and you need to give her some space. At least that is me. I would have felt that way if someone was being like that with me and didn't even know me.
I'm glad that Spike and Buffy are back together. And the Spuffy kissing is great.

Loved the conversation between Buffy and Fred. Fred got a lot of surprises (news).

You're back! Yes, I know, I know about that other story, I should know, I'm just as much caught up with that as this ........ I just LOVED the chapter before Buffy left; her turmoil, his knowing and the dreaded, most poignants letters for each other to find. Hers, so short, so succinct, with just enough to see her but not enough to savour. His, kindly and generous in his giving her leave without quarrel and giving her money with which to do it ....
And now this chapter. Buffy finds a safe haven but still she aches. He finds her hotel - very quickly - but he waits. And aches.
Your ratcheting up the tension very nicely. Or cruelly, even.
Love the inclusion of Fred. Great. All of it. Great.

I sincerely do not know how you do this ... write such wonderful yet very different pieces. I mean, in certain chapters of each story, I can totally tell that it is you authoring. But much like a talanted actress, you really have this ability to change with each story. It is awesome.
I have missed reading SF. But Echoes has been on my mind so much. I do believe it to be your masterpiece Holly. I find myself wishing that it could be made into a movie ... wouldn't it be the most amazing prequel to BTVS? It is so powerfully written, it would just blow everyone away.
This chapter of SF was wonderful ... love the introduction of Fred. Always love Fred!! She and Buffy would have been an interesting mix ... as you so wonderfully showed us here. Fred the rocket scientist/brain/sweetheart and Buffy the experienced/dutiful-yet-tired/skeptical girl.
