Love this, pretty much ate it up with a spoon over 48 hours. Extremely well written. Wish there had been more confessions to each other (and the Scoobies) about the starts of their feelings, Buffy realizing her affection for Spike came well before the engagement/Willow's will spell, and Spike revealing in more detail exactly how long he'd loved Buffy and those delicious feelings of *wanting* to be claimed by her, and his utter heatbreak and despair when he thought she didn't want him. Fantastic. I'm an editing freak, so I did catch some mistakes, but so few compared to most fics out there.

Okay, so far I like your story, but I'm a little confused here... It's supposed to be an early season 4, but Dawn *and* Magic Box appeared only in season 5, so... what happened? lol. Did you just decide to go a little AU, and mix some stuff from the seasons? 'Cause it really appears to be a season 5, only with Buffy still living in the dorm.
P.S. Don't know how the story will unfold, but hope Spike's going to claim Buffy back and "fix" her, 'cause she *is* a little off at the moment. Hmm... am I the only one clueless as to why? lol

I started reading this fic ages ago and then lost it, so having found it again I went right back to the beginning.
All I can say is BRILLIANT, MASTERFUL WORK. I was sightly confused by your timeline at first when we came in immediately after Something Blue yet Giles and Anya already had the Magic Box and Dawn was there, but I soon forgot that anomaly and was immersed in the drama. I always liked the Spike& Dawn and Spike&Joyce friendships, and you've developed them beautifully, while also giving us some perfect Spuffy and revealing the shortcomings of Giles, Willow, Angel and Xander.
I've just clicked the 'liked' option in the little recommend box, but for a fic such as this there really should be a 'loved' option.
So... where's the sequel then?

Wow -that was epic. The darkness and angst in this story often left me exhausted or depressed after reading each bit. It was well written, but a very heavy thing to read. I think I have a hard time dealing with the concept of Buffy being to antagonist, though it makes for a very interesting story. I would have liked to have seen a few more lighter more hopeful moments in the story to help provide a bit of balance for all the angst, but that's just me. Thanks for all the time and effort you clearly must have put in to this story.

I've caught a mistake! Sorta. Buffy's not the active Slayer, Faith is. So I don't think its possible that if the demon in Buffy dies, there won't be anymore slayers.
But of course, its not like your fic is canon. Thanks for the great fic tho, I'm enjoying myself and working my way thru the chapters, lol.

Great ending, loose ends notwithstanding. This is probably the most "angsty" tale I've ever read but it was written so well, I didn't want to give up reading it eventhough I'm not such a big fan of the angst. I'm glad I stuck with it because it was EXCELLENT! Long yet, but very well done and entertaining from start to finish. Thanks for sharing it. Look forward to the sequel.

Oh my god! Such an amazingly good story. All 109 chapters of it! This is a record for me I think, longest story I've read on fanfic. Really good, love the ending.
I'm also looking forward to whatever else you've got brewing, your stories rock. I've read them all now, so I want more!! :)

Awe, so that's really the end? A little bit open (almost there but not yet) but with a sequel to come to take care of things I'm good with it.
A very long journey but I enjoyed reading it.
