I loved this story until this chapter (10). Dawn being part of Spike??? That just makes zero sense. You have a wonderful writing style but the unexplained (and I can't think of an explanation that would be believable) reveal of Dawn being part of Spike throws everything off and adds an element of absurdity in an otherwise terrific story. This is not meant to be harsh, I'm just a bit disappointed. But, I do love your writing style.

Why is everyone so unrealistic about spike without a soul..he tries to feed in season six when he thinks his chip is not working....everyone writes him like he's got a conscious without a soul it's stupid.....he gets the soul because he wants buffy and feels about about wronging her not because he feels guilty about killing other people. Spike pre soul would feed from humans if he thought he wouldn't get caught....

This is a really good story. Everyone comes around to accepting Spike rather quickly, but that's ok in a fantasy story like this. Spike's anguish was heartbreaking.

I enjoyed reading your rewrite of Crush. I loved the dialogue and your version of things. Glad to see that you were able to get them all through it unscathed. It left me wondering about what finally happened to Glory. Did her time run out and so it was too late to open the portal. It seemed that the Key was channeled into the ring and she would have just persued that. Hmmm...

Very nice. A lovely big dollop of angst with a happy ending, just my sort of story. Liked the way you brought Angel and Lorne into it and sorted out Joyce's illness as well as Dawn's vulnerability. So... now the key is an emerald how do they deal with Glory?

i love your story.
your a really good author.and i finally know what spike said in fool for love about women marrying serial killers. i could never figure what he was saying when i watched it.

I just sat and read the whole story and it was wonderful! I absolutely loved Giles' reaction to Spike being able to play the guitar. I also loved how Spike was almost more concerned with his blanket than Buffy. Excellent story- I'm so glad I finally had a chance to read it!

sometimes i was amazed how you pulled it through becos of the darkness of the angst...i mean...write about torture and of spike's torture can't be an easy task by all means
so thanx for this wonderful story!!!
