It was great reading this story again - if only the series had allowed Buffy to make a choice for Spike - that would have be such a great ending to their journey. Alas - Joss went with what I think was a totally lame ending with the premise of Buffy being confused about her relationships.

It was painful to read all the things with Spike/other or Bangle - but worth the read. - Nice ending. I would have like to have seen them discuss the years past and why he never came for her etc... Overall - I really enjoyed the story -Thanks for the time you put into this :)

so glad you are going to finish this story its one of my favourites. Lots of angst-love it. There is not point though taking Spike to the airport as he will have the same problem as Buffy had-no passport unless he sleeps with it in his pyjamas because if is 2.00 pm in England then it would be about 6.00a.m in the US

OK I LOVE Spuffy, I always want them together, but in this story Buffy is so annoying, mean and selfish that I want Spike far, far away from her. OMG that was the most horrible thing to do to Spike.:(
Spike...run for the hills and don't look back.
And now we have a woman that Angel knows that wants to talk to Buffy on her wedding day.That can't be good, but I don't want it to be the catalyst for Buffy "realizing" that Angel is a jerk and it's Spike she wants.
Sorry for the rant, but this Buffy is very unlikable. I hope she can be redeemed.
Loved the story,despite Buffy.

buffy really is a bitch just like in the movie. i really don't like her very much. spike doesn't deserves the way she is treating him and hurting him. spike should get a little pay back and make her suffer for a while because he deserves some retribution. make her pay!!!!

Thans for the two updates. As usual I am disappointed in Buffy. It seems that she never thinks anything through or goes with her instincts. I hope Angel's secret is discovered, but I don't want that to be the reason she turns to Spike.. Please update soon.

Thanx for 2 chappies in a week, hope that means the muse is inspired. God ...what a mean cliffie, and waht a sad chappie for Spike. He gets dumped and Buffy leaves anyway, still living on that river in Egypt. She annoys me no end in this, cause Angel is a big wanker who she loved at 16,and she still thinks he's the love of her life? After everything she went thru? How old is she, 12? Katie is what a grown up acts like, and I felt bad for her, but she knew what she had to do.
I thought it was cruel of her to tell Spike what the spell was really about, it just seemed to be rubbing it in more. Poor Spike. Go Buffy...marry Angel and be miserable for the rest of your life, cause right now it's what you deserve. GAH!
And what is Mr. Broodypants up to? hmmm? seemed suspicious. Go Dawn! find out wht's going on with Angel, I hope it's really bad. *evil laff*
Please, please post more soon ..I love this and can't wait to see what happens next.

ooooh! I am *so* glad you updated this one! Been a long time, but sure am glad you did! Please don't wander off and forget about this one or leave it unfinished!!! (seems there are too many out there that wander away from the fandom and leave great fics in limbo, so... this one is too good to be left that way!!!)
Enjoyed it, & can't wait til you update again! ... hmph! Katie *should* worry! Spike should introduce her to Angel (looks like they'll have a chance to meet, at that!)... they'd probably get along great... which would leave our favored couple to wander off at sunset... (and living on the Florida-Georgia border, I've seen quite a few Georgia sunsets!)...
So Spike's still in love with Bufffy... but he stays away (and she didn't catch that admission from him, apparently!); yet dates/lives with (? I forget)/sleeps with Katie (and doesn't have a problem with that---the not giving her 100% worth; and five years after, Buffy STILL can't make up her mind! (tsk, tsk, tsks at that girl!)
And now, the big Forehead is gonna jump into the mix: HOPEFULLY, he will end up screwing himself out of having Buffy for a fiancee', whether just by being a looming contrast to Spike, or by showing his ass while there...
Anyway, enjoying it, and crossing my fingers that you will update again soon, hopefully sooner!

Thank you for updating. I love this fic, and I so want you to finish it. At least Katie is seeing what's happening between Spuffy, hopefully Buffy will soon, cause she's just annoying and in denial as always. And now The Great Poof will be there soon to claim his woman, that should get interesting. I hope Spike kicks his pompous ass. lol
