A few years late on reading this, but just had to say....FREAKING AWESOME. I laughed until I cried when buffy was in tears and wiping her eyes with complimentary socks. Sheesh. Comedic gold. I also cried (minus aforementioned laughter) when she had to leave William...but I had faith in you to make it all better. And if you didn't I certainly would have plagued you with long distraught emails declaring my displeasure. Thanks for a fantastic story.

Ok it's 1am and I have working in 5 hours but I just couldn't stop reading. I absolutely loved it and I'm still feeling sniffly due to the angsty bit and then tears of joy. I loved it. Really well written, good flow, good attention to detail and I reckon you were true to their characters. Loved it. Don't care if it's been 8 years, I'm glad there are these fanfics out there. I'm not ready to give spuffy up!

One hell of a terrific Spuffy story - I loved your treatment of William and how you managed to get them together as their own story - then your bringing back the series Buffy and Spike.
Don't know if your have a sequel, the stories does not really need one, but a story about their life with the child would still be a very nice addition -

I should change my buffy-name to "crybaby" because I have been crying for I don't know how long - the whole chapter? I skipped over some parts of the story because I REALLY thing the old country right boring, but...In spite of it all, I just fell in love with Spike and Buffy all over again.

I just finished reading A HE LL OF A CHANCE, so it's really unfair of me to try to read something Vctorian after that when I SO don't like that period of history, but so far my favorite things have been the author's asides & your portrayal of Xander.
Actually, that's not such a bad thing. After what Xander acted like in season seven, I'd kinda forgotten how nice he can be when, well, when he can be.

Wow! This is the type of fanfic I love! Just enough angst with a happily ever after.
Spike/William are two of my favorite characters from the Buffyverse and I always want him to get the love he yearns for. This was spot on.
I also liked that no one had to act like a goober to get there. I didn't hate Giles nor Xander (which is easy because he and Angel regularly tie for my least favorite Buffy characters, hating him is easy, liking him, which I did in this story, is hard for me). Everyone felt like they were totally in character.
So, thanks! This is one of those stories I mean when I say fanfic is every bit as good as conventionally published stuff. It brought me to tears (the shaky kind where my heart is breaking for the characters) and left me breathless (you write smut well! ;-p).

I been meaning to leave a review for this terrific fic all week ,but something kept getting in the way . First of all i can't begin to tell u how much I enjoyed it , read the whole thing over the weekend, in between house cleaning , laundry and feeding time at my zoo, kids want to eat 3 x's a day , sheesh , what's up with that? Chapter 14 had me bawlin like a 2 year old , then the chapter where she wakes up with that big moronic ape Angel hovering over her made me so mad i had to stop reading and have two cigs to calm me down, that moron, still makes me mad. My fave was the last chapter with Spike , Buffy and baby William , awwww, this fic was great hope you write more like this.
