Oh, wow. What a mindfuck for Spike.

As much as I feel for him, I feel badly for Buffy, too. Because of the prophecy, she had to sleep with him when she never would have otherwise -- and whatever one thinks of Riley, she's not the type to cheat, or someone for whom sex means nothing.

I think she regretted it, partway through; I think she wanted to stay close to him. But I can't blame him for leaving and kicking her out -- she knew what was going on, he didn't.

Author's Response: Exactly, I think you've hit the nail on the head with the emotions at play here. Buffy's definitely in the wrong, but that doesn't mean she wants to be. Thanks so much for reviewing caia
