Title: Give Me Time
Very interesting plot. I specially liked how William turned Buffy down. In the Spuffyverse we know for sure that Spike won't be giving up on Buffy but this is William who is not Spike... yet. I hope you write a sequel, it would be very interesting to read. Thanks for sharing your story.
Author's Response: Hello! Thank you so much for your review. Wow, I thought I responded to this a while ago. Sorry about that! Anyhow, I am actually in the process of writing a sequel for this story. It's in the early stages so I'm not sure when I'll be posting it, but I hope I can can count on you to read it! Thanks again for taking the time to give me your thoughts!

Title: Give Me Time
I have been reading your other stories and they are each haunting in your own right. I am intrigued by this Spike and would love to see a sequel. I feel like you captured their relationship perfectly. Lovely prose as well.
Author's Response: Thank you, haunting is what I usually go for! I'm definitely considering writing a sequel because I think it could be an interesting universe. Hope I can count on you to read it! Thank you for your review!

Title: Give Me Time
This story was beautifully written and the premise was so intriguing to me.
In terms of the reworking of the canon characters, I'm not sure I agree with your spin on them b/c of two things: I didn't understand how Buffy write that letter to him if she wasn't being truthful. And even if William/Spike didn't believe her, how could he slight her, being who he is? I love angst and the way you do it especially in fact but I wonder if you keep them apart just for the sake of doing so?
Author's Response: Critique, woo hoo!
Firstly, thank you for your review. Always happy to hear someone enjoys the angst. As for the letter...
I honestly thought over William turning Buffy's offer down a lot as I was writing it. I did think that a lot of people would see that as going completely against William/Spike's character because she's Buffy and in what universe would he ever turn her down? My answer? He wasn't really turning her down so much as protecting himself. It's not that he didn't believe her (because she did mean it as far as I wrote it), but he had lost everyone who'd ever been important to him and he was afraid to trust her. He didn't want to risk her breaking his heart. I don't think Spike would have turned her down under any circumstance, but William? He's only a man with a very human heart who fears it being broken as much as anyone.
Anyway, thank you for your thoughts and your review!

Very well written. Even though the story moved quickly, the transitions were very smooth. Enjoyed
