I know a lot of reviews say you should have posted a character death warning, but you did warn us in the 2nd chapter it wouldnt be a happy ending! I personally loved the story, yes it was sad and I teared up but it was very well written and I feel you captured Spike's loss at the end!! Well done, I love your work and will NEVER stop reading your stories!!!!!

But, donīt seems that Spike take soo much time to found her. In real live, she probably, or already be dead for a cut in a vital organ or should be a lot of time to call for help.

Holy crap. My throat hurts from holding in the tears. : ( That was truly heart breaking. I'm really glad that Spike didn't jump in the end...that he decided to try go on in life. That song was so sad...it truly fit the story. Great job! It was an excellent story!

While this was well written I have to say that I HATED THIS FIC. If you had posted a "character death" warning I never would have read it and now because of this horrible experience I will never read another one of your stories. Isn't there enough angst, death & saddness in the world? Why did you feel the need to add to it - even if it is just fiction - you've created and unleashed some unhappy, negative vibes with this story as far as I'm concerned.

And I'll also be nice and say "sorry, i forgot to post a character death warning when i first posted it up. MY BAD.I hope my story hasn't cost you SO MUCH grief that you can't get on with your life..." Only one of my other stories has a character death and I did remember to put up a warning. I'm sorry, it was a mistake, i forgot. I guess I didn't realize it was such a life or death situation.
And...
1.) I DID put up a character death warning in the summary at 6:15 AM this morning... so there was no way you could have read the last chapter without realizing there was a death.
2.) The first chapter I posted up contained an author's note suggesting that everyone go listen to "A Little Fall of Rain"... and if you listened to my suggestion, you would have realized there was no way something happy could have come from this story. But i guess i shouldn't just assume you'd listen to it and again... MY BAD.
3.) I really don't give a damn if you never read another one of my stories. As far as i'm concerned... it's your loss and none of my business.
4.) What... are you saying i'm tipping the balance of good and bad in the world? What, is karma gonna come bite me in the ass? How come I never get reviews like this for my happy stories? "Thanks, melissa, for setting out happy, positive vibes in the world. I think good things will come your way."
Goddamn... if you don't like it, just say so. don't get so fucking emotional.

I DON'T KNOW HOW EXPERIENCED YOU ARE IN THIS FANFICTION WORLD BUT A CHARACTER DEATH WARNING WOULD HAVE BEEN APPROPRIATE!!!!!! Real life deals too many evil blows and many of us out here read fanfiction for an escape ... I ALWAYS avoid stories such as yours. It should be a readers choice. We should not be blind sided. Although well written I am very disappointed ... sorry.

I normally would put up a warning, but I guess i was too anxious. And in the long run, I didn't think it'd be such a life/death situation. Sorry if i ruined your day?

Horribly sad ending. I feel so *cheated* on Buffy and Spike's behalf. They would have been happy and the instant Spike realizes that, everything falls apart. I know in your AN you said it wouldn't be a fluffy ending, but you really suprised me with this one. Great fic though. Again, so SO sad.

wow. very haunting ending. very well written, but it might be a good idea to post a rape/non-con warning and one also for character death. A lot of readers try to avoid such things when reading fics and a little heads up is usually appreciated.

that was horrible. how could you make her die? i really regret reading this now. you know, a warning of a character death would have been appreciated. i usually like to avoid those. and having her get raped on top of that? i'm at least relieved that you didn't go into details with that. sorry, i didn't care for this.

okay, i like this and all, but i'm worried because you said it wouldn't be a happy ending. it will be a spuffy ending though, right? i mean, i would think they would end up together. i hope it is because i really can't stand them with someone else. it would be a lot better if drusilla was a bitch in this, then he would realize the mistake of getting married to her. i just need my happy spuffy endings, there's no point reading it otherwise.
