Trying to protect himself and Buffy.. her virtue and his heart.. But making those sexual innuendos give a different picture.. except of course for the shirt on and sitting on the opposite end of the couch..
She has her mind made up .. and I think he will give in .. waiting to see what Buffy comes up with.. more than food that is LOL

Love it! He's trying so hard to be good, and she's trying so hard to be bad, and it seems like that combination may make her is everything, and vice versa. They may both be doomed, but I'm pretty sure there are worse tortures in the world then trying not to rush things. :) Amazing dynamic. So glad they're both trying. Already ready for an update!

Aaah, woman, the UST is slowly killing me!! But I love it. ;) I was looking forward to a new chapter of this story SO MUCH, and you just keep making me want more and more. Love this version of shy yet determined Buffy and the bad boy with a character Spike. *melts* Reading this delightful story is comparable to eating double chocolate fudge ice cream during a hot summer day. :) Can't wait for more!!

Aww, love reading this chapter! They are so cute together. Love how Spike treats Buffy like a lady, she seems to bring out the best in him for all of his being the "bad boy" with the naughty language. Glad that Spike is taking it slow, if he has had as many girls as he claims, then he may want to "savor" the romancing of Buffy. Look forward to more!

Too bloody cute. Love how they are dangerous to each other. Kinda funny to think a sweet innocent girl is the undoing of a bleached blond punk. :) A whole yin yang of stereotypes, each doomed to break the others heart. I love it. Update soon!

I'm really excited that you're going to rework The Best Man into an original novel! :D I loved it, and I'm sure no one's going to begrudge it to you. I think it was really nice of you to give everyone a heads up in case they want to save a copy. :) I'll be crossing my fingers and toes for you!
This update was so much fun to read! Best date ever, and of course Spike's naughty side made an appearance which made everything even better. I've got this thing about kissing in fics, and I really love it when the author pays attention to details. You always give us such a nice visual. ;) Thanks for updating!!

That was wonderful on so many levels. I especially loved the exchange about her mom knowing that she daily brings baked goods to a strange man and her mom being okay with it. So cute. And the fact that it only took 6 days without her for him to come looking. And that moment was amazing, and a turning point, and I hope he knows that there is no going back. Them and their amazing chemistry only go forward now. I loved it. Update soon!
