ya know, Angel is a douchbag; he comes back to see Buffy and strings her along. I don't know if he had realized his feelings for Faithe before he showed up, but still, if he didn't want Buffy, he should have just left.
Though Spike doing the noble thing and letting her go...I'm glad he isn't playing a game with her and just wants her and won't let her go in the en.d
Author's Response: Well, it wouldn't be the first time Angel's done something like that...and even Buffy has! Spike's finally gotten to that selfless kind of love where he's willing to sacrifice to make his beloved happy...lucky he got the girl in the end, anyway. :D

Love how backwards her thought process was. So glad she figured it out. And even gladder that Spike took her back, as if he'd ever not... Awesome. Thanks for sharing.

You made Buffy look like the emoitinally stunted idoiit we all know she is, and I love it.
I never got how she could believe that after so much time had passed that her and Angel could just pick up where they left off. Way too much time had passed and too much had happened. They weren't the same people, and regressing back to your 16 year old self isn;t a good thing either. You grow up and move on. Especially since they both (especially her in my opinion) idollized Angel and their relationship, but it was still messed in many ways.
Stupid Buffy, when even XANDER realizes and accepts that she's in love with Spike.
I like Faith and Angel together- they make more sense (wow, Faith with either vampire makes more sense than them with Buffy).
And yay for Spuffy! If I was Spike I would have told her she made her choice and to leave me the hell alone, but it`s a good thing Spike`s more forgiving than I am- otherwise they`d never get a happy ending.
Great story.

Yeah, it's so frustrating how stupid Buffy can be...She had this relationship she saw as ideal when she was sixteen, and never gave up on it, even when it was so obviously over- even Angel moves on and he clearly stops pining over Buffy on Angel after season one or so...
I really like Angel and Faith together (I can only stand Angel with Spike and Faith), but it would never happen on the show since he's totally infatuated with goodness- but that's why we have fanfiction!
...I also wanted Spike to fight back, but that would've been a much longer story that I don't have the time to write right now, and besides, his "having my pride thing was just a smokescreen" and all. :)

Awwwww! LOVE it!!! Ya just gotta love those post-NFA happy-endings stories! Yeah, many times I thought Faith & Angel might end up together. I never really got the thing w/Nina, other than both of them being artists.
The part w/Spike travelling by "Air-Illyria" was great! As was wee li'l Limp-Liam! LOL! Of COURSE Buffy was clueless about LOVE! She wouldn't have realized real love if it were a freight train and ran over her!!! And here comes the Scoobies heart, Xander, in spite of his previous feelings for Buffy, in spite of his previous feelings for *Spike*, and HE is the one to set her straight; AND this time he is *Right*, unlike the time w/Riley. With the ultimate happy ending, it was a lovely, enjoyable li'l one-shot. Wish there was more to it! Any sequels? (Sorry--- I'm on a post-Chosen/post-NFA kick! BTW, thanx for feeding my jonesing for it!) And love, LOVE the bit "...Gonna make you mine." (even *without* fangs! Oh, I was SO worried he had run off to find Dru to re-vamp him!) Speaking of bits, it was good to see her--"the Bit" , Dawn, and taking up for Spike again. Now you've got me craving more post-whatever fic... damn! But still thankful for such an enjoyable read by you.

I actually read this during class, and when I read the words "Limp-Liam," I started laughing hysterically and made a spectacle of myself...glad you liked it! I just wanted to poke fun at Buffy's total denial when it comes to her feelings...and what better way than to write from her point of view! I just hated how insincere (and knowing Buffy, sudden) it seemed when she told Spike she loved him, and I wanted to knock some sense into her! I like Faith and Angel together for just the reasons Faith said in the fic. Happy to know i stimulated your post-Chosen craving! Thanks for reading!
