Your story's not too bad, but you could do better.
It's too simply written, everything happens too fast ,Spike and Buffy are often out of character and the way they speak is too different from canon.

Buffy took her time to think but this is a big decision she made. But I think it will be helpful too. Now Spike should be able to find her when she's not there (with a proper claim).
Author's Response: *laughs about the save verses safe* That's why I have to have a beta because I'm always making silly mistakes like that.
It is a big decision to decide what to do with your life. She's young too so she had to figure out what she wanted to do with her life at only 17. I think a claim is the best thing for her though. She is a slayer and always in danger. He can help keep her safe!

Author's Response: I always have a hard time sitting through television shows that don't interest me and not talking or saying something. It's a good thing Spike is tolerant of that. Some people can be totally serious about not getting any interruptions.

Buffy didn't know what claiming means? Ah that's why Spike was worried - the Council (?) is killing claimed slayers.
Author's Response: Sorry, Brittany likes to do lots of chapters when she finally sends them off. I don't think Buffy focused on claiming much during her lessons with Giles. GIles hardly wanted her to become claimed.

Mmmm not good that Buffy heard Spike's rambling about business deal only. That could lead to misunderstandings again. The house sounds nice though.
Author's Response: Yea well the two of them are just going through so much. Spike is building a wall around himself while Buffy's keep crumbling...tough business going on.
