This was just ok. The plot jumped around too much, too unfocused, and the ending is pretty unsatisfying, as Buffy doesn't seem to have gotten any smarter about Spike. Also, Buffy's dialogue sounds a bit too British. But I liked the idea for this one, and the scenes were believably WWII-like.

Love how all things seemed to come full circle. Though one has to wonder quite how the locket came back to her. I can imagine, but thinking of time travel often gives me a headache. Love how it seems the slayer that we saved this time around is Buffy herself. And the connection that she and Spike have maintained from their time back in time, whether they realize it or not. Lovely story. Always a blast to go back in time with them. Would surely love a sequel if you feel motivated. Otherwise, thanks for sharing.

Have really enjoyed reading this story. I love the time travel. Just wanted to give you a heads up on something in the most current chapter. You mentioned 'monsters from his Saturday morning cartoons.'" There were no Saturday morning cartoons during that time period. They didn't appear until much later.

Oh I really like the small stories told about what happened to certain people. And YAY for Henry being back and having 'rescued' some papers to be used by the Walsh's. :D
And the charm being based on magnetism.
So maybe Buffy had to go back to get the link to Spike.
Mmmh Aurora. Send to the colonies - America?
And Quentin saved Dorcas' life. Coincidences....
OH! The locket.... Wow. So it was about Buffy saving a slayer. Clever twist.
I have left one tiny loose end flying....just in case anyone wants a sequel!!!
I wouldn't mind reading one. Please? :)

Absolutely brilliant! A sequel? Yes, please: you've left plenty of clues for us. Besides being well-written and in-character, your story was funny, and angst-filled, happy, sad and fluffy, and captured the push-and-pull relationship between Spike and Buffy perfectly. And it had a toad as a major character--what more could anyone want?

How interesting that Buffy saved herself by going back in time. Never would have thought Aurora was her ancestor. I will say that I was interested to see how Buffy and Spike were drawn together, but I really wanted more of them here at the end. It was a good story, though. Maybe there will be a sequel for more Buffy/Spike time.

I'm sad this is ending, it's been a great ride. it's such a unique story, with all the action, and I love that they were snarky to the end, even while they were fighting, and the reluctant sweetness...it kept its tone throughout, supremely enjoyable.
I am glad there is a chappie left

*bites nails* Oh my, I thought it was all over when Buffy tried to rescue Spike and they were surrounded. Glad they made it out after all.
And Spike eat the charm that Henry had eaten from. Sounds as if Spike will remember Buffy then.
