I have a very strange feeling in my gut. Is Willow going to try to bring back Dawn? That would be the only thing I could see that would make Willow think Buffy would start slaying again. Why do these dolt's forget that Faith is a slayer? Granted she is in prison right now, but she is actually the slayer. The line runs through her since Buffy died at the hands of the master and Kendra was called. Buffy is actually a spare.

Actually Buffy isn't "The Slayer" any more, Faith is. Any slaying Buffy has done since the Master drowned her has been above and beyond the call. The slayer is rotting in prison. It's the modern world now, not like it was when the council could take a potential from her home and family. Buffy has lost everyone that she loves. How can Giles demand she go back to it? And to sic her friends on her? Dirty pool. If the council had taken her from her family when she was young maybe she wouldn't feel like this now because she would have already lost them in a way. But it's different now and they really can't ask her to do this anymore. Spike is right, she has a death wish and the rest can't see it.

Very powerful first chapter. You had me tearing up! I'm looking forward to what comes next.
