Can you clarify the family ties to the house? Anne & Beth's great-uncle was the Everett who owned the house, but he had no heirs? So Beth travelled to the US, while Anne stayed behind? Then Beth married am American? Or did Beth marry a distant Everett American cousin? It's just that you call her Beth Everett, but she would have taken her husband's name, surely? Anyway, just curious.

Author's Response: I'm glad you loved it! And you know what, you caught something I missed, but for the sake of the story I'm going to say Beth simply kept her maiden name after the marriage. I'm glad you noticed the slip up, though, sometimes details can go over my head. I appreciate it when readers point it out.
