Title: One Last Apocalypse...
omg i got chill bumps!! when she was talking about how sad she'd been over the years, i felt so sad and just wanted Spike to wrap his arms around me and hug me! i even got a little teary-eyed at the end. how did she die though???? she just fell over dead?? did she take a potion???? that confused me a lot. and that was awesome that Dawn married Conner. i wonder if they ever found out about each other's parents. hmmmmm...... but the ending did make me very misty. lol. great job!!
Author's Response: She was done; she stuck around, did what she had to do and then was ready to go. Nothing more mystical than it was Time and she Knew it. A little existential, playing with those well-known tropes of our society. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

This was very sad. Yet hopeful at the end in the way that Buffy is reunited with Spike now. (Though I wouldn't mind if you put a character death warning to the story.)
Author's Response: It wasn't really supposed to be sad. Not overall. I though that as opposed to all oft he violent deaths I've read, Buffy deserved to gout when she was ready...and back to Spike of course.

I don't usually read the one-shot, Buffy's dying stories on here, but I clicked on this link out of sheer boredom. I'm glad I did. This was sad, of course, but beautifully written. In a way, it was kind of a fitting end for Buffy. It was a nice, peaceful death, and to me, made up for the violence of her first two deaths.
Just out of curiosity, why 42?
Author's Response: 42 is the answer to life, the universe, and everything.
And my intention wasn't for it to really be sad, but for it to be a 'yeah. that's the way it should happen. Now she gets to live with Spike in Heaven for eternity having lots of...fun." But I always thought it would be fair for Buffy to go out on her terms, you know?
