Like - go for it - I always cringe whenever I watch and I shout at the screen "Shut up Spike!" when he opens his gob and just can't resist saying too much (love Spike with all my being but, heh, tact not his strongest suit!). This could be a nice way to change the rest of that season from hell, and I think you've chosen the pivotal point to do it from. Would love to see how you could make it all better. Hope you go on with this. Thanks.

It's funny I was just thinking about this episode. I also wondered what would have happened if Spike hadn't said what he did to Buffy. Thanks for this verison.

Good points, PJ. But, like Joss said, no one was ever allowed to be happy in that show.
It always bothered me that in season six, Spike was SUCH a jerk, not just in Wrecked but after too.
Author's Response: Spike was such a jerk in multiple season 6 episodes and it just didn't follow with his behavior before they had sex. I hated it. Hence, crazy drabbles to sooth my bitterness!

Thank god you wrote this, and so quickly! You must've got cracking right after I logged off last night LOL I absolutely love it, and after watching 'Wrecked', I definitely understand more of the issue we discussed. This was incredibly sweet... I just wish this was what would've happened on the show:)

That was wonderful. I always thought Buffy wanted more with Spike, she was just so darn vulnerable at the time. Then of course, Spike had to shoot off his big mouth and...okay, I'll stop now.
I loved this, I wish I could write one shot deals!

I totally agree with you. It was obvious Buffy thought what she and Spike did meant more. However, it wouldn't be Spike unless he put his foot in his mouth. Thank you for writing this. I enjoyed reading it.

Yep I can see where this could turn into something more. Could totally rewrite the rest of Sason 6 and 7. Things could certainly be much different.

i really liked this little fic. Youre right about him being a jerk toher by saying ot would be better to fuck a slayer. But realistically (show wise) Buffy i think still would have walked away,she didnt know what she had. I like to think that if their had been a season 8 she would have realised she loved him or something...... Sigh, but it was not to be. great story though, it was boring i enjoyed it.
