Mmmh no clue what will happen now - Spike says he would kill Buffy, the slayer. But it seems the slayer is gone and we'll see a vengeance demon soon. Not sure if that (becoming one) is the right thing for Buffy.

Not good, Buffy falling for the sweet words for revenge. We'll see where this will lead; the Council has given up on her (but not Giles yet so that was a lie).
Author's Response: True, it seems that everyone has turned against her. Being a 17 year old, Buffy is naive and therefore, more susceptible than she would be had the episode occured later in the series. But she may surprise everyone yet, or Spike might. As for Giles, we shall see! :)

This is definitely highlighting the extremes of each personaiity at its worst. Not that I disagree because that is my feelings too towards the end that Buffy has to always be perfect or she get's treated like a pedophile. As well as her mom's jump to believe the worst of her daughter.
Author's Response: You are correct, and everyone at their worst is something I wanted to explore: that there isn't always an easy way out when you do things like Buffy did. As for Joyce, I wanted to also explore the "normal again" aspect of Buffy's character being committed in the sixth season in season two. I felt that if her mother really found out about her daughter's activities, even with vampires being in town, the mother might still have her daughter committed, particularly if Joyce didn't believe her eyes about vampires and demons.

Bad things happened in this chapter... they are all after Buffy, one way ore another. Even Joyce wants Buffy in the hospital again, I call that bad.
BTW even if the rifle is a magic one - normal bullets can't kill a vamp. So why is Buffy worried about Angelus?
Author's Response: Buffy is worried because she still has feelings for him, and in this instance, because the bullets are magic, they can kill a vampire, so there is reason to worry! :)

It's good to have a new chapter. Now the spell is lifted, interesting that Spike would feel bad about harming Angelus.
Author's Response: I agree with you. I could have taken the easy way out and just punctuated Spike's hatred of his Grandsire, but I wanted to show Spike's inner conflict over what's happened too. I'll try to post another chapter soon, and have a happy 4th of July!

I was a bit lost with this chapter, I didn't understand why Buffy was (working) with Angelus, hiding from Spike now. *checks whole story* Ah Spike didn't work with Buffy here, I confused the stories.
Looking forward to what will happen now.
Author's Response: I didn't mean to confuse you. It will be clearer in the next few chapters. Buffy is with Angelus because she's conflicted over her attraction to Spike and her previous love for Angel. That will change, though, and it won't take long.
