Even though this story is shorter than your norm it was poignant and fun at the same time.
But there are a handful of places where your tenses switch back and forth, this makes it hard on your readers to follow along sometimes.

Author's Response: thanks.....it was a one shot fic. In addition I went back and fixed my grammatical errors. When I finish writing my stories my inner child wants it posted immediately. It's not always ready for that.

Love the way the song fit their relationship, you didn't even have to change many of the words to make the point. When faced with the fight or flight, she didn't fly away. She actually followed through with what she was feeling, and shocked our Spike in a wonderful way.

Well written! Wonder if there will be a sequel?....Would love to see how she stands up to the judgmental Scoobies. They need to be put in their place.
