I enjoyed this reboot. I was gonna say that it didn't seem to end, but it turns out it was because I've had problems downloading the epub version of this from this site, so I downloaded the epub story from Elysian Fields, and it's missing this epilogue. It helps, but do still wish the epilogue was longer... or more "showing" this resolution, rather than having Andrew "tell" us... but I do love Andrew as storyteller, so that's good.
A number of typos/word errors ruin the rhythm a bit when reading, but other than that, quite well-written.

I like your story generally. And thought it was very good and a lot more enjoyable than canon. Just missed a couple of things. One was what about the big show down with Giles?Both for his part in trying to driv a wedge between the two love birds and just desideing to make a run for it. Another with just desiding to go along with canon of willow and tara. You managed to save willow a bit but the fact remains that Tara shouldn't have died.
Author's Response: Giles IMO didn't really try to drive a wedge between Spike and Buffy in s6. I don't know what the crap happened to him in s7 however :P
And Tara dying, well, my agenda with this fic was to salvage the Spike/Buffy relationship. Can't save them all, I suppose.

Just found this story and I really enjoyed it. You accomplished what you set out to do, mainly fix my least favourite season. Thanks for that and for all your hard work on this piece. By the way, you're right--'A Kiss From a Rose" is totally Spuffy.

I just loved that. Completely. It was a good way to end the story.
Season 6 was my fave, for many reasons, but I liked this spin as well.

I got a little frustrated with some of the first chapters that seemed so similar to the original story - but I am glad I stuck with things. Once things veered a bit away form canon - it really held my interest. I think you did a wonderful job fixing things from that season and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks.

Good that Xander stopped (or better was stopped) before he could do something he would have regretted. And that Buffy and Spike are stronger. Would have been hard for him to stake Spike except when taking him by accident.

i can't believe xander is still going to try to kill spike because of that, just because he saw him bite her. he doesn't even know what was really going on, but i'm still a bit confused. i thought everyone knew about the two of them being together in this fiction. i remember xander talking to spike and being somewhat okay with it if buffy was happy, unless i'm thinking of another fiction or something.
Author's Response: Not everyone- just Dawn, Willow and Tara. Spike asked Xander would it be okay if he asked Buffy out on a date. Xander didn't know about the sex, let alone the biting. Thanks.

Wonderful update: in parts hilarious, then sweet, beautiful then tense.
