Great story and I loved the ending! I always thought her 'friends' were a deceitful lot. She was used as a puppet for too long.

I really enjoyed this story. Love the dramatic angry speech she gave! Anya would have been proud and most likely would have offered her some vengeance. My question is what would Dawn and Willow have to gain from keeping Spike existence away from her? I can see Xander (although having lost Anya, you think he would have been empathetic) but I'm baffled by the motivation of the other two. Would love to see a glimpse into all the scoobies brains as this is happening!

Author's Response: At the age Dawn is at, I wouldn't be surprised that she just doesn't care about anything then herself and boys, and Willow mostly just wants to be accepted, and what better way is there than to go along with the others. Thanks for reading.

Ouch - so Giles thought Buffy's reaction was good when he told her about Spike and that everybody knew? I would call this a big betrayal what they did and would be shocked.
Loved Buffy's speech. I guess she had enough time to prepare everything she needed in her bag. This was a big surprise for all the others at the Academy. And I'm glad Spike's 'girlfriend' was just a 'smokescreen' because he thought (he was told) that Buffy had moved on.
Oh I see (read now) - it was Giles' and Angel's idea - they are very busy keeping Buffy and Spike apart.
Enjoyed - good to see and read another story from you.
