I don't read the comics but I've heard about Buffy/Angel on them. I think I just love how you wrote Spike in this ficlet. He has pride and he took the situation with grace and honor. Bravo!
Author's Response: Thank you! One thing I can say about the comics- they might be awful, but they do inspire me to write much fic. :)

kinda sad, but i'm strangely proud of spike for not falling back onto the 'buffy wagon'.
and once again because it's angel all is forgiven and he'll never take responsibility for himself.
this would be an interesting story, as well ...

I agree with you- I think I'd lose respect for both Spike and Buffy if they fell in bed together or something...especially after the recent Buffy/Angel developments. :(
I've actually continued it on LJ, but as I'm not quite sure if it'll be Spuffy at the end (or if there will be an end at all) I probably won't post it at this site. :(

Hi! I really liked this take on what would happen in the comics now after Spike arrived to the scene. I also liked that you didn't make Spike into a weak character who's only desire is to be with Buffy. It would be interesting to see what happens after this...? :)

Oh how I hate how justifiable Angel is for his bad behaviour still can't take responsibility but why would this time be any different from all the other times. I wonder if Buffy knew that was a big question I had since the beginning of the comics and although I love how they explain the Rome thing and it wasn't Buffy when I saw Twilight as Angel and then she ended up having sex I was PISSED. but then when Spike shown up at the end I was so YAH. I know comic but your story of what happens afterwards is so much my own thoughts except the Illyria being there.
Author's Response: Well, Angel's still pretty much convinced that he did the right thing. *scowls* We'll have to rectify that... :D
I'm still holding out on that glow thing being the major (if not only) cause for the sex.
yeah, I don't think that they can actually use Illyria in the DH comics...shame. :(

This is heartbreaking. I would love it if Illyria is in the ship with Spike. At least he wouldn't have to deal with Blight alone. I don't think we'll get anything this sweet or straightforward though.
Loved the line “Turns out Buffy makes her own destiny,” Perfect for what we've just been shown.
I still want to know if Buffy knew Spike was back, and why wasn't Angel's soul an issue when he and Buffy were boinking all over space.
Author's Response: Yup, I'm betting we're going to get Spike/Buffy's-b*tch in the comics. :(
