so i realize that you haven't written anything for this story in about 5 years but i just found it and i love it so far! i felt like i should tell you. i hope you decide to come back and finish writing it or pass it off to someone maybe. anyway, just wanted to say great work with the first 7 chapters!

:( Poor Spike. I love Dawn in this. And Buffy. And Spike... All the characters are good. I really hope and wildly pray you get round to finishing this someday. It's too good of a story to leave unfinished!!!!

Another amazing chapter!
Perfect pace. I'm loving how Dawn is assisting in advancing the plot. Plus a cliffhanger of any drunk character at the end of a chapter is always good in my opinion.

i like this chapter... usually, grown up dawn is quite on the whiney side, but yours is endearing! :D
i really liked the "worried mothers" bit... It sounded real... if you get what i mean. Of course, we feel bad for spike, cuz he is the victim here and we know he is innocent... but even if i can't stand mrs eve something, i can see her point...

*giggle* Loved Dawn asking if Buffy would be her mom, stopping asking and going back to Buffy in her conversation. That was really cute. She started it because she saw that Buffy is as lonely as her dad is. ~ Oh my.. the bus stop. Is everybody thinking he is guilty? Well Buffy isn't even she gets a guest now :) Looking forward to the next chapter!

Poor William. It's one thing to be accused by one person, another to be found quilty without a trial by so many others that don't know you at all. I'm not surprised he ended up on Buffy's doorstep, afterall, she told him she thought he was innocent and he's been hearing about her non-stop from Dawn so it totally makes sense that's where he'd go. Can't wait for the next update, sure hope Buffy's heart is in the right place and she doesn't send him away all broken! more please.

I loved Spike and Dawn's conversation. I enjoyed getting Dawn's perspective of Buffy. It's a shame Spike got treated the way he did at the bus stop. I'm really worried this awful situation is gonna get leaked to Dawn. Can't wait to find out what happens next. Fantastic chapter!

I am really enjoying this story, the characters are becoming real with emotions, regrets and hope. I know you have a beta it reads so well, just one word should be changed aloud to allow different meanings.

Connor is cute :)
I wonder who was with Dru, did this. Too bad they don't have evidence (but that would make it too easy). So Dawn's mother is Cecily? No contact doesn't mean dead. What doesn't fit is William's profile: has no prior criminal record, and does not have a history of violence. Looking forward to the next part :)

I liked this glimpse into Buffy's homelife, Conner was so cute. I loved the way Buffy spoke to him about Dawn. The police report was very informative, Dru really did a great job in setting Spike up. I look forward to finding out how the plot unfolds from here. Great chapter!
