I think it was the situation; it was having Buffy killed or kill Dru. That's why Spike didn't think. Could have been different when he had to think a lot about it; who knows.
But I wasn't sure how Buffy would react. Spike liked it. ;))
Loved the twist. :)

Loved Domm Buffy! lol. This was a great story. I love happy ending, fluffy stories. Sometimes we really need that after all the joss angst. HOT sexins too..
The banner is gorgeous; I've always loved James' face in that picture with Dru. *swoon*

Only in fanfic do Spike & Buffy get to a happy place that quickly. Very fast read and have to admit it not being the typical Buffy, but I think it's because I've been craving angst. Thanks for the story.

Ooh, new fic! There is just so many layers to Crush that it warrants further storytelling. So glad you took up the challenge. Buffy sure does waffle doesn't she? It always pains me just a wee bit to see Dru dusted, but what a way to go @ cliffhanger of a chapter. On to the next chappie!
Author's Response: I agree. So many things that could have been done differently to make the outcome better than it was. I don't really mind when Dru is dusted. I never really got attached to her like I did to other characters. I guess its because I like Spike to be fully Buffy's, heehee.Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for reviewing.

The poem was very fitting....
Uh-huh at the end of the chapter I feared Dru would kill Buffy.
Spike killed Dru or she would have killed Buffy.

Oh I like this Chan! So good. I love creepy Dru. I don't believe Spike would have staked her, only if she was actually gonna kill Buffy.
I liked the poem, it was so sad, and seems like something Spike would write. And the banner is so gorgeous!

Author's Response: Yay! I'm glad you like it! I thought I didn't write Dru very well, so thank god I had Amy to fix it up a lot. Amy reworded what I wanted Dru to say so it didn't sound lucid lol. I was iffy about Spike staking Dru as well, but I know that he would have if she was attacking Buffy. I LOVE the poem! I think I picked the perfect one. It was a tie between two different poems, but Amy and I both agreed that one was the better one, so I went with that one. Glad you liked the banner too! The next banner was made by Amy, it was interesting to see the two different banners that came from the same prompt. Thanks for reviewing! *hugs*
