Loved the B&D part; with Buffy having a job things should get easier (it's always good to have money if you have to run quickly).
And Fred looked 'right through' Buffy and Dawn, huh? She noticed that they are looking forward to see Spike again.

I loved the Buffy/Dawn interaction, I especially enjoyed Dawn's observations about Buffy's choice of men. The wishing upon a star bit was sweet, nice touch to have both Spike and Buffy looking at the same star. Spike's scene with Tom was also fun. :D Great chapter!

I am assuming his mum was Drusilla but I wonder who his father was.
They both had sad stories but at least the lamb will be fine, and they will too.

Loved Spike and Buffy's first meeting! Gotta say the imagery in this chapter was just WOW!!! Spike all shirtless and sweaty... yumm!!! I also enjoyed reading Buffy and Spike's musings, and Dawn was positively adorable. Fantastic update, and welcome back! =)

After Giles is so fond of Buffy and Dawn I guess he'll do what he can to protect them. Like sending them away to his cousin.
I really liked the new chapter; Buffy is growing close to Dawn too. Silly child but the ponies were irresistible. And it seems as if someone is going to play matchmaker, huh? Looking forward to the tea :)

The farewell scene between Giles and the girls was so sad, but I get the feeling he'll see them again someday. Love how Fred is thinking of playing matchmaker. Great update!
