i remember reading this years ago ... sigh, it was nice to remember such a well-written fic ...
some of the aspects that i enjoyed, more so the obvious spuffy, were the things that weren't expanded either at all or not as much. like spike and joyce's relationship, spike and xander's slowly growing not-as-much-hatred. and of course the journey of spuffy, and the slayer and the vampire ..
i enjoyed every word ...

I was re-reading this one now. Sad to be on the end of the posted chapters now. It's still one of my favorites. I just wish it would be continued one day. Pretty please? It's such a wonderful story that you tell here.

Finally got to read the updates. Loving it! Hope they come up with a plan to finish Angelus once and for all! I think it's funny that he's all afraid of Buffy's Slayer demon! Can't wait until Spike is 100% and he and Buffy go kick Angelus' broody butt! more please!

I'm glad to hear Spike got healed again :) Maybe only Spike was happier for being chosen.
Loved Joyce; allowing Spike to stay in Buffy's room and her teasing them about was fun :)
Though I wonder now why Clem is there with Marie. Looking forward to more :))

I thought first Buffy would run into a trap. It wasn't that yet the found Angelus. And he almost had her wouldn't it been for the Slayer. Now Angelus is afraid of Buffy :) First time for him I guess *gg*.
Ah Spike biting Buffy.. he needs to know she is safe and don't like the marks of Angelus I guess. ~ Till next chapter! I hope Giles will be okay soon.

Very nice!!! I liked the conversation between Giles and Buffy, and loved it when he admitted that he loved her like a daughter. :) The fight with Angelus was intense, and had me worried when he bit her. But when the Slayer came forward ,Buffy was awesome, and Angelus ran away like the coward he's always been. Buffys fear of driving was funny. It's a good thing Giles was unconsious, the trauma of Buffys driving could have scared him forever. ;) The biting by Spike, I think I understand, he needed to reestablish his bond with her. But Xander standing behind him, watching him bite Buffy, that could be a problem. Love this story!!! Can't wait for more!!!

An excellent start! Very nicely done!
You draw the reader into your story and makes her/him wanting more immediately.
Let me point out again: this is how you do it. I wish all fic writers could learn to understand this.

Whoa!!! This was really good!!! Learning how the ritual changed things, searched the blood lines for purity, and bound Angel and Dru together at the same time it bound Spike and Buffy closer together. Spike is the Master of the Aurelian line, Buffy is tied to the line now, through Spike. And Dru said that the line has now been changed and the power of the Master can never be transferred to Angel. BIG SMILE!!! That is so neat!!! Angel might not want to believe it, but he is screwed!!! I love that little bit of irony!!! Great chapter!!!

He knew when it was best to just move on without answering a question because no matter how you answered, she was going to take it the wrong way. *gg* So true :))
Interesting, the ritual that healed Dru had a side-effect: It strengthened Buffy's and Spike's bond too? They can use every advantage they can get.
I wonder what that 'tasting home in Buffy's blood' means. But I'm sure we'll come to that. And to the change of the Aurelian power.
Loved the chapter :)
