I love the fact that you almost always make Giles and spike related , I think its great, This story was sweet , i'm currently keeping up with "of lite and shadow " and reading this story was nice.

love it I thought with Family you were referring to Buffy and Dawn related to Spike never thought Giles. Love it.

Now that was very satisfying, I've read several fics that make Spike and Giles family, and it does seem to fit very nicely. I don't suppose there are to be more stories leading on from this fic? I'd love it if there were... {hint hint}
Author's Response: Sorry I took so long to answer this one. This is part of a little novella and I hadn't planned on posting any more of it. Mainly because I wrote it just before ATS 5 aired, and I got Jossed! But I could tweak some things ...*Grin*

This story made me both laugh and cry. I love how it wrapped up a few loose ends, Dawn and Spike's relationship, and left of with such a nice feeling.

Spike's letter was so heartfelt. *sniff* I could totally imagine him leaving Buffy a backpack like that. It would be wonderful if the upcoming "Buffy Season Eight Comic Book" included a scene similiar to this one. I absolutely loved the twist at the end. I'm so glad you recommended this story to me. I especially liked the fact that Spike owned a home in JM's hometown of Modesto. Fantastic story! :D
