Oh this was a nice chapter, but so sad. Now Joyce is dead and Buffy and Spike haven't seen each other in four years. But she still loves him and he loves her too. They have to sit down and talk. Buffy should stay in her house, not get an apartment, I think that way they can start to grow close again. And please let Dru be out of the picture.

I am disappointed that you only made Spike feel like he did something wrong. Like he is the bad man that hurt Buffy. Buffy should learn to take responsibilities for her own actions. Don't put the blame on Spike. Buffy is also the one who ran away without telling Spike how she really felt. I'm so piss of at Buffy right now. Now, you her mother passed away. So let us feel sorry for her and let Spike come begging back to Buffy and ask for forgiveness from her. That is going to make me upset because Buffy should be the one to ask for forgiveness not Spike. I also hope that Spike doesn't act like a jealous jerk when it comes to Riley. If you do that I'm going to be disappointed with you and this story. Cause that would just be another reason for Spike to have to ask Buffy for forgiveness. While people seem to think Buffy is all innocent in this. I mean Buffy didn't feel like she has ask for forgiveness from Spike. She was a bitch to him before she left. Which makes me to read that she doesn't feel like she did wrong. I'm surprised that Spike stayed in Sunnydale. I figure after Miss. I can't be honest with my feelings so I hurt my best friend ran away. I would have thought Spike would have left too. I mean there are so much memories there. I guess Spike is strong though and stayed. Unlike Buffy who is a weak little girl. More please

I like this story. I think you are doing a nice job capturing the emotions of both characters, but especially Buffy.
You do still have a bunch of typos though: Barley should be barely. Inspirable should be inseparable. Ridicules should be ridiculous. And at least twice you swap your and you're.
I really think that elements of this are great, if you'd like another beta (I know that some folks have a few.) I'd be happy to give things a final read through for grammar and spelling. :)

*sigh* I really hope it will get better again. Not a good situation for both of them, awkward for both. No clue how Spike felt about it, being busy with Dru. At last he had an epiphany why it did hurt so much. Bad timing...
It may sound like a bad timing too but Spike deserved to know the truth about Drusilla.

It figures that people would think Spike is an ass and Buffy is right. Buffy tried to hurt Spike because she was hurting. She wanted to hurt him and get back at him. When it wasn't Spike's fault that Buffy got hurt in the first place. That makes her a bitch. I'm not saying that I haven't ever hurt anybody because I was hurting. I have. But I'm the one who went to apologize because it was my fault. I think Buffy was so mean to Spike in this chapter. Even if what she was saying about Dru was true. She didn't have to be so mean about it. I wanted to slap her myself since Spike can't. Spike says something back to her and not all of a sudden he is the ass. When Buffy was the one who was trying to hurt Spike. Buffy was the one who isn't honest with her feelings. Buffy is the one who is running away. Buffy needs to grow up and be a woman who can be honest with her feelings. Right now I don't feel for her anymore. I did but not now. Not after the way she treated Spike. She needs to apologize. I may stop reading if Spike goes after her and apologizes. Buffy was the bitch in this chapter.

I really like this story so far, since it has very well written characters and an interesting plot.
There's just one tiny mistake that I'm sure lots of people who aren't British make. It's spelt bollocks and not bullocks.

Well, I'll probably only be reading this to see if Buffy can find a real man in NYC. Once she and Spike get back together, which will ultimately happen, I'll probably stop reading. I don't want Spike with her. I'm really not sure why they are even friends. He is not a nice person and is too selfish to actually love anyone. Being good looking does not override being a horrible person. Hope Buffy learns that.

haha, tards every single one of them, so much pain between them now. How will they deal with being apart? Spike was such a jackass for taking Dru back after he slept with Buffy and now he said she was convenient in a round about way. Hurt all over the place. Well now he knows he is in love with her, how will he get her back. Dun Dun Dun.

OMG, This is so sad..it' s just gotten worse between them.Buffy's leaving and Spike totally acted like a complete ass.How could he say that to Buffy? Good that he realized he loves her and now he'll be feeling miserable too. Still I do want you to fix it...Please? Spike needs to dump Dru now and try to make it up to Buffy.

I hate Buffy so much right now. I really do hate her. Always thinking about herself just like on the show. Again, I say it isn't Spike's fault that you slept with him. He didn't promise her that that they were going to be together. If Spike used her then she too used him. Spike even tried to stop it from happening. But she is the one who pulled him back. She is the one that wanted to have sex with Spike without thinking of the consequences. Spike didn't make Buffy have sex with him. It is also Buffy's fault that she wasn't honest with her feelings. She should just tell him that she is in love with him. But she wasn't being honest with Spike. Instead she plays the victim and hurts Spike because she is hurting. Then when Spike says something back to her she gets mad and slaps him. That is just like the Buffy on the show. Always hitting Spike. Just because she is a girl doesn't make it right to him a man. I mean she can't even admit that she is jealous of Dru. Yes, Buffy may really feel that Spike deserves better. But she needs to admit that she is jealous and that she cares for him. Instead of being all denial girl. Spike cant' read her mind. She needs to tell him the truth. And now Buffy is running away without telling him the truth. Which just makes me furious. I hope Spike doesn't go chasing after her. it isn't his fault that Buffy isn't honest with her feelings.
