pj! I remember wishing one of your stories would be finished seriously about a decade ago. Amazing. I just tried an old password I used to use and amazingly got in too. Memories!

Got a question: Why does Dawn remember Spike as her daddy and why isn't he freaked out by the comment?

Otherwise, enjoying the story.

Cheers!

So, so, so very good. I'm a total editing nerd, so I feel I have to point out that there were a small amount of grammar/word errors; but overall, this was exceptionally well-written. Loved the plot, and the characters, the dialogue was spot on. LOVE how you ended this. OH! And loved the Arcadia reference... know the song (and album) so well! =)

So I am reading this for the first time and even though I am INCREDIBLY late to the party, I just wanted to tell you how wonderful this chapter (not to mention the ongoing story, characterizations, etc) was. Love it, thank you for posting this.

I'm obviously reading this 6 years after it was published...but I want to say I love it, and that I REALLY hope for Wawn, Desley. Whatever their ship name would be... :) This is fantastic, really. Thank you for writing it.

I need to tell you about my favorite part in this whole series of stories. I absolutely love the scene in the grocery store with Oz, Tara and Willow. I can't even say why I love it, just know it is perfect.

Like your stories very much - you keep it moving and the characters are always real. Good job.

I'm wondering why you are writing this for fanfic? when it's so much more profound. (Not that I don't like fanfic, 'cause if I didn't I wouldn't be here, but change the names and you've got a story that doesn't rely on characters anybody else created, but your own imagination!!!

Reviewer: Judith Anonymous Date: 01/19/2011 - 03:38 pm Title: Tomorrow's questions

I realize I'm posting long after you've written this, but want you to know your writing keeps pulling me along. I can't wait to see what's going to happen.

Let me tell ya something, X_Ray_Specs, I was all ready to come in here and defend Nia and her elegant writing, but then I read your own fics.

Where I come from, we don't call that "dreck." We use plain simple English and call it shit.

Let's get something straight, Newbie, when you write something that sets the fandom on fire, maybe you have the right to go around nit-picking on other. As it stands now, you are a speck in a universe of well respected writers - Niamh included.

You said you've been "sniffing" around the fandom for years? Yeah, I thought I smelled something foul. I'm usually right.

There's the door, honey.

I've put a big huff around it just for you.

Feel free to walk through it at any time, and try not to track and dreck on your way out.

You have slain me, mein fraulein. I tried to get through this well-written dreck but couldn't make the final stretch. Forgive my cruelty.

Though I really don't want to do this, I feel I must be honest with you. I really liked Origins. For me I felt it was how S.6 should have gone. Well, maybe not with so much sex and so much more talking than action but you catch my drift. This story...I've been hanging on because I like the writing but my increasing disinterest in the baby stuff is marring my enjoyment. Guess what. I'm a sodding anomaly. I happen to be female and babies don't make me all...gooey and brain-dead. In fact I find them rather repellent, and maybe it's just my own personal issues but I resent the decidedly domestic direction this story has gone. I appreciated the dynamic of Buffy, Spike, and Dawn as a family. Personally, I think it would have been better to explore all that rather than dragging Conner into the mix and then knocking Buffy up. Ugh, saw that comin' a mile away, but I still didn't like it.

I also kind of think the narrative has gotten a bit sloppy. It's just too much between the baby crap, Kirsten being Spike and Buffy's daughter from the future, Angelus, Willow, and all the vamp OCs. It's just a bit much to take in.

Might I also mention that I don't really get why Willow has it out for Spike? I mean, she's not one of his biggest fans but I'd think it more likely for her to warm up to him then go all hive-mind with Xander. After all, she's seen a lot more depth to him even before the events of S.5. *shrugs* Just sayin'. I think your point is more that dark magicks don't have her thinking none too clearly.

Having said all that, I really do like your writing. You have a lot of talent. If you want to suss out my criticism, feel free to look up my profile.

Just a few words to say ... I loved it, Loved It, LOVED IT!!!
I just read straight through both Books I & II of Origins, and I SO thoroughly enjoyed them both! I plan to now go back & read any one-shots (& might even --gasp--mosey over to EF to read the other story you mentionned. And, I'll be heading off nearly immediately to start on Origins Book III... though I know I'll chew my fingertips down to nubs when I run outta finished chapters & have to start waiting for updates.
I don't know why I've never read this series of yours previously, but can only say that I'm glad I finally did.
And it was also great to see someone write with knowledge and respect for Wicca and Magick (unlike Joss!).
I can't wait to dig into Book III, so off I go, to there, now!
Again, many thanks!

This is absolutely awesome! I played today instead of doing the cleanup on my home. I read Book 1 and Book 2. I enjoyed every second. Loved the line about the SCA rejects, loved the snarkiness, loved how the characters came alive and stayed true through the storyline. I totally bought Angelus, and Willow, and Xander. I do admit I enjoy when Spike and Xander bond in other fiction. This is well wriiten and deserves every award you received. I look forward to reading Book 3, you have a wonderful talent and I hope you are able to do this professionally one day. Enjoyed your comments, and your quotes, took me back to English lit.

I started reading these just yesterday, and I'm completely addicted. Beautiful writing, and a wonderful story. I love all the Spuffy-ness. It makes me all warm and fuzzy, and you provide that amazingly. I have read TONS of Spuffy fics, however this is the only one I've reviewed, and It's by far my favorite. Well...Off to read some more of your fic! xoxoxo.

Just wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed your story. This one and your others. I read this one and the 1st Origins a while ago and loved them, then just kinda lost them. So happy you have started another! Thanks for everything!

LOVED IT!!!

One of, if not THE, best story I have every read! I got through this one and the first in a few days, unable to pull myself away. I laughed, I cried, I was on the edge of my seat...

Bloody brilliant! Can't wait to read the third!

Just wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed this story! I read the 1st part and I admit, I came across it by accident. I have since read your other stories in between these, and you are one of my favorites. I love how you write Spike. It is the way I always see him if someone gave him a chance. The plot is wonderful! Very interesting and you seem to end each chapter with a cliff-hanger. I was worried about how Willow will turn out, but you remain true to my view of how it might have been!
Please keep writing,...Love your stuff!!!!

I've just taken the wild ride through your magnum opus for the second time and loved it even more than the first. So glad that Angel is gone for good and that Willow has been demagicked.
Can't help wondering what Xander's reaction to that little revelation is going to be. As far as he's concerned she can do no wrong.
So glad that Faith has got her own hot vamp so she has no need to start poaching Buffy's. Also that it has it has been proved that it's not 'unnatural' for there to be an attraction between slayers and vampires. So reassuring for Buffy.
I didn't catch what happened to Harmony in the big battle, did she get away with Dru? I expect I'll find out in Resolutions...
Onwards and upwards......

What about Giles? I can't believe I have to actually stop reading for a while. Yikes!
