Although I do throughly look forward to reading this entire story, I just wanted to comment on chapter 1.

I just wanted to throw my belief out there. Guys who sleep around are gross, and I would NEVER consider sleeping with one. I don't call that praise, but I think you mean from other males. Women who sleep around are sluts. My RL friends sleeop around, a lot, and they know they're sluts. They don't get praise from me, neither would any guy, and they don't praises themselves for it.
However, I think people who call someone a slut becuase she's had a couple 1 night stands bullshit. I'll be a bitch and have my set 'If you sleep with more people than __, then your a slut' number and be happy with it. No offense to anyone's whos slept with a lot of people, this is just my though. I'll go out and say, my number is low, and I've had a SHITLOAD of oppurtunties to up it, but for what? I'd rather masturbate than sleep with some random guy. I've lived enough.
... I didn't mean to turn my review into a debate. I do want to say, although I'm ranty, I really liked the first chapter and look forward to reading the rest. :) You are a fantastic author, and I LOVE angst.

I'm a fan of your work, and I have to say I think this might be my favorite story of yours. I was browsing down the list of your stories the other day, and was surprised to find one that I hadn't read yet. And I'm glad that I did, because I've thoroughly enjoyed this. The entire thing. The progression of Spike and Buffy's relationship, and then their own personal paths throughout. Extra points for use of Oz, and also for not just resorting to plugging in Drusilla for Spike's old flame. That was another aspect I particularly liked about this story - Spike's fling with Nancy and then the way Buffy reacted. Many authors would be tempted to go the dramatic, angst filled route of having Buffy completely fly off the handle and refusing to speak to Spike for a while. I feel like the way you wrote it was more realistic, not to mention more true to their characters considering the high level of sexual promiscuity for both of our main characters.

Well you have certainly taken us full circle on this fic. I started out concerned that I would like the characters. There were many hot scenes,to start with but they were empty of afffirmation. However you gave the characters depth and foibles that made them real and lovable. Yes, they deal with a lot of struggle, but I think you handled the situations with care and concern. I really enjoyed the dialogue of the final several chapters as it really served to highlight the context of contentment and acceptance of each other. I really think that you have a knack for describing the intimacy of a love scene that takes if far beyond the bodily function. You describe the reactions and hightened emotions of how the characters interact and that's what makes your stores the best detailed love scenes I've had the privilege to reading in Spuffy fic. Again, a wonderful story to enjoy!

Awww that was an amazing last chapter to a fantastic story. Even tho I'm sad to see it end, it did end at the right time. The sex was hot and the banter hilarious. You should be very proud of this one, it was brilliant.

So I get back from my Honeymoon and you've *finished* this fic! Makes me all excited cuz I get to read it in one sitting, but sad cuz, well.. it's over.
Loved the painting - I had forgotten that Spike had done that with her underwear. This was such a sweet way for them to admit their feelings.

This story was so well done - I loved every bit of it. You really did such a fabulous job with character development and staying true to the characters. It was very impressive. I look forward to reading more from you. I didn't find this story too angsty or any of the chapters too gruesome- it all added depth to the story and was plot based. Very strong work. Thanks.
