pj! I remember wishing one of your stories would be finished seriously about a decade ago. Amazing. I just tried an old password I used to use and amazingly got in too. Memories!

Cute. There are a ton of mistakes as you warned us about, wnd though it could use more smut, it was very sweet.

It was an interesting read and an enjoyable one at that.

Author's Response: Thanks... I still not happy with it, but one day I'll change it from being a first draft into something more polished. Take more time than a couple of hours to knock it about and into shape :D Thanks for reading and reviewing.

I thoroughly enjoyed it Henri!!! I'm gonna (snicker)...go out on a limb here and say "Sleeping Beauty"? I think a sequel could be fun, especially with the cliffie you left. Yes, you did get some of the law enforcement type terms incorrect, apparently using a more British example...I'm not sure if any municipality in the US has constables...tho' I guess a little elbow-grease at the research table would let us know...I could ask Mr. Fyreburned, but he's not awake right now---he is a former cop---Serenity might know???... Our detectives usually wear dress/office clothing, or respectable office casual...not uniforms (tho' there are specific departmental dress uniforms for certain formalized occasions). You used the metric system of measure, but here in the US we don't generally. In the US, a minor child would without relatives to care for her (such as Buffy in a coma) would have been taken into custody of the state system temporarily and probably placed into foster care until she could be cared for again (unless this was a court adjudged emancipated minor able to support herself financially and to prove she could care for herself and had just reason for such request of the courts.) Buffy would have had a pic line or some such semi-permanent manner to feed her nutrients IV or a G-tube to feed her supplements directly to her gut...(I know ewwww, and I'm a nurse!)...the longer someone stays in a coma past the first few days the longer the chances are it might be permanent...she might or might not be assisted in breathing, dependant upon her condition, via ventilator, but at very least would have IV lines, catheters, etc...so that she would not be able to just be ready to get up and get out...and yes, three days was technically probably a definite early releases "AMA" 'against medical advice" (and some insurances won't pay the hospital claim if you do that too!)... It was fun seeing Dr. Chase (considering I just spent 4 hours watching this seasons last 4 House epis) and the allusion to Dr. House...on the West Coast... It was a lotta fun reading of Detectives Spike & Buffy and I think another case would be fun.
BTW, please don't take my corrections in the wrong way---not at all a reprimand, know you aren't in the US, and reference material wasn't handy...I just thought I'd fill in some blanks for next time when you write us another!
Thanks, and like I said, quite enjoyable!

Author's Response: As I'm an Aussie, we generally bastardise all things British so yeah any British example is from my own understanding of my own police force. I knew about the normal clothings, I do watch a lot of US cops shows (Buffy was totally being promoted to Detective that day she was in uniform) and I swear I used the word intravenous in there somewhere, but seeing as it was mostly William's POV and he'd know nothing about any of that stuff I figured creative license could be called upon. And I instantly realised my cross coast mistakes but hey House can use technology if he wants to. Let's just say William fought the law for Dawn to be looked after by Mr Giles. Though, do realise I wrote this when I had NO WAY to research what so ever and I'm glad you helped answer some of my own questions without my having to actually google them :D And that so wasn't a cliffie :P Thanks for taking the time to review and respond1

Oh Henri this story was simply delightful! Nice fluffy spuffy. Could totally go for a sequel. Soo many fairy tales to choose from...N yeah I guessed it, it was sleeping beauty right?

LOVED the reference about Dr Chase, had a good giggle about that one. Another one of my fave shows. For a moment I tought your slime b bug guy was the guy from Bones (another fave show), but it fitted better being Andrew n co I feel.

So sequel please??

Author's Response: The slime and bug guy was an offspring of TJ Tyne and Tommy Lenk. But yeah that was basically what I was referencing :D Dr Chase played by the wonderful Jesse Spencer was in Neighbours when I was a preteen and watched shitty soapies (and yes I did watch Passions devoutly) Of course it was sleeping beautfy (though imagine if Buffy wasnt beauty - xander was and Buffy and Spike had to team up to get through the forest and dragon to get to him - that would be FUNNY)

Fun even when it's the end already.
(Sleeping Beauty, to be awaken with a kiss?)

Author's Response: Yay! Sleeping Beauty it was, and the end was nigh as my shift was only eight hours and I needed sleep last night :D I see all the little mistakes and cringe because I wrote it when I was so tired. Thanks for reading and reviewing even though its a one-ie.

enjoyed the premise, but felt it went too fast. more detail would have slowed the reading pace down a little. but please post more stories, it was very readable

Author's Response: Sorry that it sped away, but I only had an eight hour shift and seeing as my writing is normally slow as, that was a massive word count for me to produce. Any fairytale ones are going to be one shot because I cannot afford to start more WIPs.
