good story. i like the dark ones and this was dark. i too thought "protection"?? but your response to one reviewer cleared up that too. i also would have liked to know exactly when in season 6 you saw this happening - it could definitely be during seeing red, huh? anyway - nice and dark, well written.

I really like this story, it's very descriptive. I think you should write a sequel that would show how Buffy ends up loving him or maybe not loving him. It might give us/me a greater understanding to why Buffy just excepted what Spike did. Plus, I want..need you to continue on with this story. What can I say, it has a great plot line that could go anywhere! Keep writing.

Author's Response: yup it's spike, and as for protection, it's just whats going through her mind at the moment of the rape, she doesn't even consider the fact that he's a vampire and of course look at how Angel had a son and he's a vampire, so remember, anything can happen in the department. as for more, i think i left it at a good point. it's up to the reader to decide what happens afterwards. hoped that helped!
