SO gratifying to come across a storyline in which Harris is a good guy. What's up with the Xandar hating on this site! Refreshing.
Author's Response: I used to think I really hated Xander, but then I started to notice that in pretty much all of my fics, I wrote him sympathetically. To Be A Kind Of Man is my Xander focused fic and probably my favourite of them all. Thank you so much for reviewing.

this is simply wonderful. so beautifully written and reealized. i hate those frickin' scoobies and their self-righteous egos thinking they always knew what was best for buffy. i seriously wish you would have had a lot more heavy payback from buffy - especially when they came to LA and were still thinking they knew best! grrrrr! but oh so glad that spike and buffy finally got to be together forever. thanks for writing this wonderful story.

I love your explination of how Spike came back. I didn't really need one, I was willing to just accept it as part of the story, but it really added layers. And not enough Spuffy authors have taken advantage of that "what she deserves" line.
Great job, I really enjoyed it.

Okay, I just have to say I love how you've used Andrew. He's both the catalyst that gets things going, but he's also just enough comic relief to keep the angst at the perfect level. Like this line I just love.
“Well, okay,” Buffy conceded. “Maybe Andrew is sorry. "

How in the hell did this precious gem get by me? This is a gorgeous story, and I'm glad I found it....late as it is...but found it nonetheless. I was in tears, angry, hateful, and finally happy. Oh wow, this was too beautiful for words. Oh, and making Xander the lone Scooby to accept Spuffy....priceless. This is going in my favorites.

Just beautiful!! I had been waiting to read it, cause I was not sure how long it would be. Imagine my shock, when I found it finished today. You write Spike and Buffy so well with just the right amount of angst and happy. Loved Whistler's appearance and the fact that Xander finally came around. Once again, loved it and if others have not poured their love out to you, they are just shirty, carrot topped, poopeyheads.
