This is great! I have absolutely no idea what's happening with Spike's soul and Buffy. And that's good, because I like to try to figure things out ahead of time. I'm so interested.

Oh... I don't know what Giles real intentions are but he is buying Spike time to get acclimatized to his soul. So that would be good. Loved the twist, Spike's reaction (his soul's reaction) when meeting Buffy.

I've been meaning to tell you how much I love the way you write Spike's soul! It's like it's a separate entity with it's own thoughts, feelings, actions, and it clearly has it's own agenda where Buffy is concerned. I'm guessing that as the story progresses it will be harder for Spike to differentiate the soul from any other part of himself like with the reaction to Buffy in the library. BTW, that whole scene was brilliant, and I suspect Giles is beginning to see a bit of the bigger picture! Excited for the next chapter!

AHHHHHHH! ABSLUTELY BLOODY BRILLIANT!!!!!!!! loved the connection :) and ive always loved fics that have a bit of friendship or respect between angel and spike and although this one has only a tiny bt i love it :)

Love Spike passing out at Angel's feet! And, just as I wanted, Angel was the one to tell Spike about his soul! BTW, I reviewed as Dom last chapter so don't think you lost a reader. Loved this chapter,can't wait to see what's next!

See, books are good. If you know where to look you can find a lot. Especially if you have a watcher to help. Spike figured it out now. Giles heard of him before? That sounds that there is a prophecy.
Now I would like to read more, what Angel has to tell. Sadly I'm at the end of the chapter now. Till next time!

Love your Spike's POV, making the 'thing' in his breast mysterious.

Oooh! Loved both how he found out, and how he reacted to it! Wouldn't have liked him reacting like Angel (thankfully it didn't take him a century to cope in BTVS either!), so I loved his lack of change in attitude!XXX

Love the way Spike it dealing with his soul! I really hope he only figures it out during a run in with Angel and that Angel is the one who has to tell him. I too like Angel but I always thought he was a big baby about not being the only ensouled vampire. Can't wait until Spuffy goodness ensues especially with younger Buffy (she was always more open-minded)!
Author's Response: She really is more open-minded, isn't she? Later in the series I always kind of missed that ... even the other characters got to be a bit more bitter and cynical. Sigh. Anywho, I'm glad you agree with me about Angel, not that he doesn't piss me off at times ... but I cannot see him as a totally bad character. Thanks so much!

I like the twist with Mahtiki, to introduce the story through him.
Spike should have asked for more details, now it's too late, he's in. I don't think he'll regret it in the long run.
