I just spent a few hours reading theis when I should have been sleeping so forgive me if my review is a bit incoherent. I don't usually read darker stories but I do love a nice dark ending. I'm not sure if you're still updating this, or it's finished, but if you never finish it I'm going to go with my preferred ending: Buffy jumps off the cliff and dies. She's had such a hard time of it in this well-written and- if I may say so without condoning Spike's actions- enjoyable fic. It's nice to think of her at peace (I also prefer to stop watching the show at the end of season 5 if that helps you to make sense of this review). Thanks for writing! :)

just found this story a few days back and I really like the dark aspect of it. It brings us a new side if the characters. With that said I really wished that you had stuck with it and finished. I would have loved to see if spike found his redemption or if Buffy ever got out. Love it!!!

I really wish you would finish this if you're still out there somewhere.
Spike you can't keep her in the gang. It's not safe for her with Angel plotting revenge and it's killing her inside more every day she's exposed to the ugliness of this life. If you love her, you have to either leave with her or send her away. And even if you give up the gang for her, don't be surprised if she doesn't want to stay with you. No matter how much she enjoys the sex with you the second it's over she's back to dealing with the fact that you were her rapist and forced her into this hell she's been living. Might be too much of an obstacle to ever overcome.

I have to be honest the rape scene bothered me a bit, I just can't stomach rape scenes where the rape victim 'likes' it. As a rape survivor I can honestly say I found nothing pleasurable about the experience, and I was raped by my ex whom I was still in love with. It is your story and I understand you have to tell it the way you see fit, but I just had to say my peace.
But I digress, overall it's a good story and I love how you took all these characters from both series and integrated them in such a dark way. Never really let us like them too much, or at least when we think they're 'good' were then slapped with the reality they're not good, they're not really Buffy's friend and they're not gonna help her.
So far it's a good read and I look forward to more.

Sadly, I've given up hope of this ever again being updated. :( At such a crucial point in the story, I decided to go back and re-read it. It'd a fantastic fic, and while I wish it woudl continue on, the realist in me doubs. So... thank you for what you've written.
